Music night Saturday and we had a couple of Pizzas that defeated us. Should have just had the one. The Porter on tap was excellent and owner super friendly and saved us a table. Dog friendly with lots of dogs there. The place was very busy and vibrant with locals. Great to be in a pub doing well. Would recommend, the food is not haute cuisine but sturdy pub grub.

We had a lovely time with our family. The table and seating were comfortable for our group of 7. The service was very friendly. The Sunday roasts were all delicious (we ordered the lamb shank, roast beef and ham options) and priced incredibly reasonably, particularly the child portions. Overall a great experience and we strongly recommend!

Monday 24th September from dusk till dawn. We had a great night. Gordon says hi to his new dominoes friends. Thanks everyone for a very memorable evening. Thanks again to the wonderful young man who works behind the bar who sang a song for us at the end of the night . We will never forgot. Best wishes Allison and Gordon. 😉

Whilst on holiday we popped in on Friday evening and was very impressed, the pub was very busy and friendly with a great atmosphere. The choice of beer was very good, tasty and well kept. We returned on Sunday as we had enjoyed our previous visit. We were looking to eat here on Monday evening, unfortunately the pub dog on this visit was very off putting. It kept having a go at the other dogs in the pub including ours, it also wouldn't stop barking, the bar staff were not that bothered and made half hearted attempts to control the dog. A local finally put it on a lead and we were able to finish our drinks in peace. My daughter who hadn't been with us on Friday didn't want to eat in the pub with such an annoying dog around. To be honest I couldn't blame her. We left disappointed and found an alternative pub...

Popped in here for a pint and some food last week. Most welcoming pub ever. The landlady let me try a variety of beers and steered me in the direction of a great pint. The dogs were made welcome and given treats by the staff team and pork scratchings by the regulars. The food was great and well priced and served on a plate. I come from down South so nowadays I'm use to buckets, slates, chopping boards etc. Really nice to have proper food on a plate, revolutionary stuff. Shame we had a drive to the tent otherwise we'd have stayed for the quiz. Brian the Jack** puppy had the best time ever. A proper pub....

Friendly pub with lovely dogs roaming around. However do not take any notice of the sign outside which says Bar Food as they only cook on certain days. My husband and I were staying a few doors away and after a busy day out thought we would return to Belford for the evening and eat here only to be told they were not doing food that evening even though the sign out side said they were. Very disappointed. Had to drive back to Bamburgh to get a decent meal. Take the sign down when you're not cooking so...
