Having heard lots of great things about the food from friends we decided to book for my dads birthday. The chilli we had was amazing the best chilli and hottest we’ve had out in a very long time. Blue cheese Cajun burger was also spicy and delicious. Great selection for the kiddies too. Great beer and staff were friendly and helpful. Haven’t been here for over 15 years but will definitely be back more often now. Advise to book as it was really busy when we got there.

There are not many pubs that serve food as good as this. Large helping and fantastic value. Where else would you find a 16 ounce ribeye steak for ÂŁ18. The lightly battered Hake was absolutely delicious. You have a choice of proper chips or jacket potato into the bargain. Both came with a lovely side salad. They also served a superb Laguntas IPA which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We stopped here after a walk to Pwlldu beach. We had the Hake in Jerk spices and the Hickory Chicken - both were as good as they look! Service was prompt and efficient, we were outside at a well spaced table. I can also recommend their own brewed ale - delicious!

Amazing food, will forever hold a memory with me if the fist place I had T-Bone steak with my son. Service on the whole is friendly and really good. Just a shame the (I assume) land lady, after spending over £240 in 2 days (was that good we went back the next day) found it far too much for one of the kids meals to come with both peas and beans (we would have paid a little more if needed). Just a flat “it’s one or the other” is the only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars. Might be being picky but just a little thing like that can disappoint a young visitor...

Very disappointing meal and service. We ordered a veg lasagne and although it took over half an hour to arrive, it was cold in the middle and clearly a mass-produced frozen micro wave meal that had just been heaved onto a plate. When we took it back, it was simply returned by a very ungracious member of staff a few minutes later on a clean plate, microwaved a bit longer than the first time and looking like slop. Next time we’ll book a table at The Valley opposite where they have the same dish home cooked from scratch for less money, and always with...
