After getting turned away from the Worms Head Inn as they wanted us to sit out in torrential wind and rain as we had dogs. We found this lovely little pet friendly pub close-by. The manager was so welcoming and friendly that he opened up a closed up area to seat us with our dogs in what was a very busy evening at the pub. The staff also matched up with the hospitality and friendly environment. The pub seemed like a usual gathering point for the locals around. Everything in there looked immaculate and cheerful. The specials board had some lovely dishes and the regular menu too. The food was served very quickly after our order. The food was warm and delicious. Very well presented plates. The drinks menu had lovely local brews and some popular drinks too. Overall thos uas become our regular joint for whenever we visit Gower. There is plenty space to park your car around here. We parked in lane a few yards from the pub on the left. But there are some street parkings also available. You can take your dogs in as well. Better book in as it is quite busy most of the time.

Above and beyond service! We arrived in Port Eynon late in th day after a 4 hour drive so we were very hungry. Even though last orders are at 9pm they kept the kitchen open for us at 9:30pm so that we could have some food, at it was an excellent meal! I ordered the Halloumi burger and it was fantastic, moist and full of flavour. The service was fantastic, especially considering our late arrival. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, it feels very welcoming and they allow dogs into the restaurant area which was very nice as we had our little Maltese with us. There were a lot of other dogs inside and they were all very quiet and well behaved.

Super place to stop for a meal during your costal walk. The staff was quick and helpful. We had gammon, which was delicious and tiger prawns with salad and chips. The salad was a bit too vinegary for my taste but maybe it’s just me. We tried a selection of beers and they were exactly how we expect British beers to be: warm, as if diluted, no gas ;) It’s not meant as criticism by any means, this is what beer is like in this country;) The atmosphere was friendly. Dogs were many and warm welcomed.

Well wasn't expecting that after hearing so much good stuff....single worst experience in a supposedly 'high star' reviewed place. Booked a table for a Friday evening for 6, all sat down and within minutes a friend was insulted by the waiter commenting on his appearance. Next up same waiter took our drinks order, my friend is celiac so wanted to know all the gluten free options - advised he would go and ask and come back. Our drinks in the meantime turned up and the pints were dead, no more life in them than the English team against Scotland which we were there to watch. Waiter came back and provided the GF options we all asked a few times are you sure they are GF.. told yes yes definitely no gluten in the seabass special so she ordered that(her boyfriend even said do we need to specify it on the order and he said no its definitely GF) Food starts turning up by a waitress and my friend just says again to confirm this is GF? to which she responded I assume so it's just potatoes (good to know staff are trained on allergens), but she went to double check and came back out and the kitchen said no they weren't informed so would get her a new one... and in the meantime we were told we had to get our own cutlery (in a pandemic where you're supposed to not walk around for the sake of it, and rummage through so who knows how many people touched each knife and fork) We all got our food with various 'items' missing off of the plate compared to what the menu said it comes with. After 30 minutes of ours arriving her 2nd seabass turned up and assured GF by a new waitress who said it would be 'sorted' after we had finished. We finished our sub-par meals for the price and requested the bill. It was provided to us with no discount for the inconvenience so we asked to speak with someone, she came back and said she didn't have authority to do anything but she will speak with her manager. She came back with a brown envelope with vouchers to return and we chose not to accept as none of the 6 of us would choose to go back again so she proceeded to refer back to the manager...now the BEST bit! The manager showed up with a real attitude and aggression with NO mask well within the 2m social distancing space to say how he was sorry but because it's busy etc and new staff they didn't know and how he wasnt willing to even remove her meal off the bill because it's cost him 2 seabass portions it's a very expensive piece of fish don't know you! Because of THEIR error we were made to feel like it was our issue that his staff could have literally made our friend seriously ill and ruined the rest of our holiday! He clearly didn't care for anything other than the money in the till, severely overpriced for the quality or the lack of.

Will not be returning ever to this establishment and if you do have any allergies please think and check a minimum of 10 times before accepting your meal from...

Not enough characters to explain. First off the parking is terrible anyone remotely familiar with Port Eynon will expect this, you'll have to park in the beach carpark and pay £5 before you even step foot into the pub. We booked this for my mother's 60th, all friends and family came down (11 in total), we booked ahead of time and advised them we have a baby as well. They then seated us down, and we requested the highchair to which a member of staff rudely said no and left. We proceed to ask again and she said no because of health and safety (they had seated us in a fancy area that had steps to the table) we then explained we told you about the baby in which they huffed and puffed at and reluctantly moved us to another table which apparently was high chair friendly. We sat down and they give us the high chair - the higher chair came with no table for my baby to eat from, and the table was approximately 20cm higher than the baby. We raised this concern and said we need a different table or a higher high chair in which they could not assist with, this eventually lead to my baby smacking his head on the corner of the table.

The prices in this place are ridiculously high, so high you'd expect to not have 3 separate people bringing their dogs sitting around you, and their dogs having a barking match, and eventually ended up biting eachother. You expect if you're going to charge £20 for a meal you'd have some sort of control over this.

This is where the meal ended for us, we then unfortunately missed my mother's 60th due to poor service, the rest stayed however due to their lack of support for a child, and over support for dogs we were forced to leave.

The rest of the family has then told me that service didn't improve even after this, to a point their food was thrown on the table without addressing who's it was.

Bottom line, this is a typical sizzler pub, impersonating a fancy establishment. I'd save your money and go...

What the hell has happened to this place ? We’ve been coming here for over 25 years and seen it go from a right old sports bar dump to being remodelled into the lovely place it is now………However. Last night we walked through the door to be greeted with a ā€œPlease wait to be seatedā€ sign…….its a pub ! No one came over so we went and sat near the bar. ā€œWe only do table service nowā€ said a young girl. Ordered two pints and offered to pay. ā€œNo, we’ve set you up a tab insteadā€. After a while, when we required more drinks, the girl had disappeared off outside so I went to the bar and ordered two more pints from a very young lad behind the bar. The beer tasted like water, strange as the first two were perfect. The young lad couldn’t do anything without asking the manager (the young girl) but she had disappeared. After a lot of faffing about looking in the cellar, pouring more of the same etc I asked for two different pints, ā€œNo, I’ll have to ask the managerā€. After about twenty minutes of standing at the bar trying to sort this out I just offered to pay for our first two pints and we would just leave. ā€œThe manager is the only one who can use the tillā€ā€¦ā€¦..she is still missing. I just left a Ā£10 note on the bar in front of him and we walked out. Ok, things happen at times, fair enough but for Gods sake it’s a pub, a shop that sells beer, if they can’t simply pour an alternative or even take money then the so called manager needs either training or replacing. It’s not like the place is cheap, it’s very very expensive and currently has the monopoly down there as The Smugglers is closed. I’ve known for a few years but now it’s unashamedly obvious they are just ripping the public off. We went up to Banks Farm afterwards and had a...
