The View Rhossili Kitchen, Cafe and Bar — Restaurant in Great Britain

Went here after viewing the good reviews, the food was very good, as was the view.

However the staff were not friendly, we ordered our food and were told to come back and pay later (as the card machine was not working) when the cafe was quiet, it became busy over the 45m to an hour we waited and waited for our food.

We approached staff several times who said our food was coming. At least five tables were served before us who were not even seated when we ordered.

Food was bought out for a table they couldn’t locate, my wife went up and confirmed with them that was what we ordered an hour earlier (as it had olives instead of walnuts) she was quite rudely told “it’s not yours” by the waitress and that all food came out in order of when it was placed, despite our protests she and the waiter took the food back inside. Less than two minutes later he bought it back out saying “it was yours” no apology offered, said ok and after I said not really! Waiter said “brilliant I’ll be back” and walked off.

We went back to pay even though the service and wait we almost just left. We complained again about our treatment and were offered nothing not even an apology.

We paid and left.

We won’t be going back. Sort out your customer service, it will ruin...

Today we visited the bay bistro seemed very nice went in and ordered our food two sandwiches after 15 minutes we kindly asked how long out sandwiches would be as we were in the middle of a 35 mile run to which we were told 5 minutes so we ordered another coffee and waited patiently after 30 minutes we asked again the staff apologized brought us the wrong sandwiches then asked us if it was soup, turns out our order didn't go through and the person out front seemed very blase. Eventually we asked one more time and they said another 5 minutes to which we left with a partial refund, having to carry on to port eynon...

My family and I ate lunch at the Bay Bistro five days in a row this July. We came back each day because the food was so fresh, prepared that day and made with high quality ingredients. The menu is inventive and healthy and delicious every time. The coffee and homemade cakes are to die for. The staff were excellent and friendly; and could not have been more attentive and careful when we explained that I had an extremely serious nut allergy.
