I don't normally comment or post reviews but this has been playing on my mind. Ive recently been on a get a little bit fitter and more exercise boost, so have decided to walk up and down yarmouth seafront, good fresh air and the weather has been good, so on this occasion I was a bit hungry as I had already walked 8 miles on a 10 mile challenge, thought I would treat myself to a coffee and a bacon sandwich, I knew the cafe was there so thought ideal spot for a pit stop, and thought that it could be a regular rest break, crossed the road and walked in, jokingly asked if there was a table available as I was the only customer there, asked for a coffee and a bacon sandwich and sat down. I thought I had missed the lunch time rush as there was 4 staff, 2 cleaning and 2 chatting 🤔. I did think health and safety wasn't thought of as the boy was made to stand on a chair and dust the build up of cobwebs away from the ceiling with a short feather duster, I was given my coffee and looked around for a teaspoon to stir the coffee, wasn't offered one so I asked felt a bit awkward asking as the staff well out numbered the customers, my bacon sandwich came shortly after and was told polity "enjoy your meal" made me smile as I wouldn't of called a bacon butty a meal. Now this is where i get very very disappointed, as i only had 2 slim slices of bacon, the tomato sauce opition was really really cheap varity, tried one with tom and one with brown disappointed with both, but even more shocked when i was charged £7 !!!! Oh my fault i should of asked for a price first !!! could of had sausage and chips for that further down the road !! Needless to say CAFE63 you have lost my custom, would of liked a regulay pit stop, i felt my energy boost helped cover the staff...
Read moreFood was ok. Had to order at the counter rather than at the table. Was sat there for a while like a lemon wondering why the waiting staff were ignoring me, before I realised that I had to order at the counter, as no info on how to order was given. Was grunted at by the staff at the counter, and no please or thank you from her either. I was actually ignored whilst she spoke to someone else whilst handing me my order ticket. I had to get up from my table and get my own cutlery and tea spoon, as this was not brought over by the waiting staff either. The cook who brought my order to the table was polite and smiled. I don’t expect 5* service from a “cafe” but politeness costs nothing. All things considered I would return given the food was ok. Hopefully I just got some of the staff...
Read moreA friendly seafront cafe, nicely presented and nice clean toilets. It's possible that car parking may be a problem in the summer.
I had what I think was called the Mega breakfast. Two eggs, sausages, bacon, tomatoes, hash browns on a big plate. The food was superbly cooked and presented but to be honest, I thought that for £9.99 it could have included more. Bubble & squeak ? Black pudding ? Baked beans ? Fried bread ? Toast ? Tea or coffee ? All of these could have been included or an option.
I thoroughly enjoyed what I ate and the staff were pleasant and friendly and the tables were cleared and cleaned regularly.
I would like to add that I haven't used a cafe for some time so it's possible that my pricing and quantity comments are wide of the mark.
