Stopped at the premier inn next door so decided to eat here rather than walk up town plus menu looked OK here too. Tbf we got seated straight away and as for first impressions, it looks good with an open kitchen, chef shouting orders out and restaurant full. I decided to order drinks at the bar from a lady that was so nervous and shakey I had to grab my pint incase she spilled it, the soft drinks btw are free refills. On to the food. we had starters which were the chicken wings and breaded mushrooms. Half way through the 4 wings you get, I had to stop as one was froze still in the middle, immediately i sent them back, they did offer to change but i said no as its put me off. My wife said mushrooms wasn't too bad though but luke warm. Mains came and I had the mixed grill and wife had fish and chips. The chips we cold on both meals and so were the eggs on the mixed grill. Oh and if you like grey skin on the mini fish, they serve it here. It looked a small mini fish even though the picture and cost say different, not sure i could eat it tbh. considering all the noise from a nice looking kitchen the food was quite poor. The staff also look like they haven't been doing the job for long either as no one had the plates taken away, they never ask how food is or even smile. The next morning we went for breakfast as we had paid for this on booking, and oh dear even this was poor. Coffee machine broken and limited choice on continental and It says unlimited breakfast on the cooked so you can ask for what you want, so I asked for 3 bacon, 3 sausage, 2 eggs, beans, mushrooms and a hash brown. They got this wrong as It came with 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, raw mushrooms and the rest. Omg how can you get my order wrong and not cook mushrooms? I Won't ever go back here again and wouldnt advise anyone to try it either. It's been a long time since I've been to a place this bad.

I’ve never, in my life, been to a restaurant that has value engineered the heck out of every element to leave something that is so, so poor. If this is a franchisee they’re buying elsewhere because the quality was shambolic. The chips were awful. Deep fried fine, but they had no flavour, not taste, no bite. The wimpy went out of business because their food was a joke. Let me tell you, there’s no awards or recognition in the chips from this place’s future. Imagine printing some cardboard chips out and trying to tuck into them, same bite, same flavour. On to the coleslaw. My word. There was something that looked like in a picture you may recognise it as coleslaw. Imagine seeing a friend in a police e-fit. You think you know it, but you aren’t sure. That’s how this coleslaw was. It looked like it might be coleslaw. However it lacks the taste of anything resembling it. Imagine eating watered down white paint you used at school with stringy soggy paper in it. That’s how much you have managed to cut the cost of getting a meal out that resembles sustenance. Remember salt, remember cabbage, remember carrots, they can all go in coleslaw. The burgers were okay, but slapped between a “brioch” bun more at home in an Asda reduced aisle than a restaurant, and the thinner than the drylining in a new build, why bother. The prawns had the crunch that made you feel it may have come from the sea. But tasted nothing of it. Honestly, so very, very poor. Everything looked like it might be food, but tasted bland, cheap and awful.

Visited here for breakfast whilst staying in the premier inn but to be honest it was a big let down. Unfortunately there were no blueberry muffins both days, and no pancakes on the first day despite these being listed as being available on the menu. I don't think it was a case of they had some out but had ran out by the time we had breakfast (which was 9am, which is not late considering breakfast is available until 10.30am) I don't think there had been any available the entire time because there were no empty trays for them. Even if there had been some out earlier and they had all gone, then more should have been replenished. I don't think this is very good for the price you are paying to have 2 items just not on the buffet and nothing up to say why or offer apologies. The cooked breakfast was barely hot. The first day it was buffet style and the second day cooked to order. Both of these days everything on it was luke warm except for the sausages which were fairly hot. This effected enjoyment and was disappointing. I have stayed in other Premier Inns where I have had both buffet style and cooked to order breakfasts and they have not been as poor as this.

Should be No stars head further down seafront if you want better service, no stars didn’t even eat maybe we put 1 as easy to park the car no one in the the parking bays, Well experience was shocking. Walked into empty restaurant on a sat afternoon. Seafront was packed couldn’t park anywhere so assumed restaurant where probably hard to get in, so beef eater we’ve regularly come here it’s been amazing, so walked in typed car reg in the device, stood waiting to be seated, waited 10mins no acknowledgment all waiting staff have a chin wag behind bar they did see us but carried on, we eventually was approached by a woman walk up to her computer instead of that usual warm welcome she aggressively shouted at us yes shouted which kid u not made the few customers that were sat down jump an turn around, she just shouted ‘what’s your name’ we were so shocked we were like ‘what’, she did it second time realise she trying to aggressively ask if we had a booking. we did not know how to react. We just simply ask if they had a table for 2, she just tutted said follow me, we follow her in the empty restaurant where she put us on a table next to the only family with kids but the table I couldn’t even pull the chair out we were that close, I asked can we just sit about three tables down so we weren’t so close so the family could enjoy there meal and so could we, ask I just pointed at a random table, she aggressively in front of the family shouts again every jumps and turns again looking at us it so uncomfortable. she said well if you sit over there no one will serve you. She walk away just as we were trying to sit the family were trying to move there babies high chair I said to them politely i apologise in what just happened, they said they were shocked with her behaviour in front of there kids who jump as she was shouting said they could even give u another table option the abundance of two seat tables, and bigger tables, that point we didn’t want to eat so we decided to leave, we walk passed the women said don’t bother we’re put off by the service said to her she needs to be less rude and aggressive if she wants a full restaurant and people to book, I also wrote a complaint to the restaurant said there will be in contact but nothing not even an apology, that say it all if the complaint goes to head office instead they employing people like her I think she maybe the manager she also sometime on reception blonde grey oldish looking lady your probably hear her before you see her, appalling, I will not be recommending to other or to my guest on my caravan site, people stay clear of the restaurant and hotel use local restaurant and hotels if you want comfort, we let had chips and a ice cream at welly piers and did some bowling to cheer us up it was an amazing...

Booked online for 7PM as we couldn't book via telephone. Arrived promptly but still had to wait to be seated, even though the restaurant was only half full. Was told who our waitron was and she was very nice but very new and took an age to actually take our order even for drinks. Tables were piling up all around with dirty plates and no one was using their initiative to actually clean them, just walking past, to and fro with not an awful lot of actual work seen to be done. Counted 5 front of house staff so things could and should have moved fairly quickly especially seeing as the place wasn't particularly busy. Our order was finally taken, 2 Latte's and 2 mixed grills so not the most difficult of orders and there we sat. And sat. And sat some more. After half an hour the staff behind the bar came over and said "If you're the two waiting for the Latte's you'll have to get them yourself from over at the breakfast bar. I can do them but I'm not allowed to carry hot drinks around the restaurant. This surprised us but we acquiesced as it had been 30 minutes since we were seated and we were both thirsty. On my way back from the coffee station I passed the young lady who had instructed us to get our own drinks carrying two Irish Coffees to another table! Things didn't get much better apart from the fact our waitress came and apologised for not telling us about the self service drinks but that she hadn't been told either! Not her fault then. Food finally arrived at our table at 8PM only for me to be told that mine had been dropped and would need to be recooked. I watched my wife eat hers, she then watched me eat mine. Hardly ideal. Finally went to pay and the shambolic nature of the place continued further as there was a queue of people at the bar trying to pay, order drinks, complain to the very rude young lady from behind the bar who's whole attitude was one of just not giving a damn and looked like she was only there under sufferance and the sooner we all Foxtrot Oscared the better. People were actually telling her that they weren't waiting any longer for a drink and the service was shocking before they left but I never heard her even apologise once. Finally left after an hour and forty-five minutes and consider myself to have gotten away lightly as the gentleman in the queue I was talking to had been waiting two and a half hours. Really, really...

We booked ahead and had a 40% voucher to use against main meals of a min spend of £30. I can certainly see why they’ve been out in the local area delivering these leaflets/vouchers as I wouldn’t rush to go back. We had a small wait before we were seated as it appeared they didn’t have enough staff on, although the restaurant wasn’t that busy. We asked to sit near the window overlooking the beach but were told we couldn’t as they were reserved, not that we were given that option when booking. The place is a little grubby, doesn’t have a great atmosphere/feel to it. The staff were ok but they certainly kept you waiting. We ordered drinks and had a long wait before they were delivered. We ordered mains and they didn’t bring mine as they forgot I had asked for no sauce so had to remake my meal, which meant I had to sit and watch my family eat their meals so it didn’t go cold whilst I had to wait. When it did come to me the chicken was the thinnest smallest bit I’ve ever seen and I wondered what I paid for (thank god we had the voucher - definitely not worth full price!) everyone else’s meal was ok, but not worth full price. We had to wait ages for the bill as initially we couldn’t find a member of staff to clear our plates let alone ask for the bill. They forgot our second round of drinks that we had to chase as well. The staff are polite but the service here for time keeping is terrible. My partner used to come here with his work colleagues and entertaining clients but he said the service is so slow they didn’t have the time to waste here anymore. That was just over a year ago and it certainly hasn’t changed. How this place is still going is beyond me, you need 5 hours to eat one course here the service is that slow! We won’t be returning as it’s not worth the long waits or food at full price or even at 40% off to be honest. I’ve never ever experienced service this...
