TIS BAR AND GRILL — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

First visit here, only came as where we had been going were not serving food tonight. Negatives first; 1, Not dog friendly, so sat out in the freezing cold, with all the smokers 2, food took an hour & despite chasing it up & being told it was coming out next, it never we saw other food still served before ours & had to chase it up again 3, food eventually arrived but the forgot 1 of our meals & my dogs sausage. 4, we were not offered any sauces etc & were only given 1 set of cutlery for the 2 meals that arrived! 5, by the time the forgotten meal arrived me & my son had practically finished ours! Not the idea of going out for a family meal. 6, I asked to speak to the manager & complained about our service she offered us a free drink, well I drink just water or fruit tea which water is free & they do not serve fruit tea & so for all that hassle & nightmare my son was given a free milkshake! On a positive the food was very nice apart from being outside it got cold very quickly as the weather was chilly. Not somewhere I'd be in a rush to visit again & wouldn't...

After looking for a place that did well priced, good pub grub our whole holiday, we ended it on a high note after finding TIS Bar and Grill! The service here is efficient and you are always served with a smile! Even though we had a very groggy toddler that made a bit of a mess with her milk, the staff were super friendly and helped clean up! The food was lovely and had great portions, especially for the price!! We would definitely recommend eating (and drinking) here!!!

My partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a last night holiday meal at Tis bar and grill and we were extremely let down. Thursday nights are advertised as steak night special. So as a full blown steak lover choice wasn't hard. We ordered two steak meals one medium steak and a bleu steak when food arrived at the table I immediately cut into my bleu steak to be very upset to see it looked like it had been on the griddle for about 10 days tough as old boots I even struggled to cut it with a steak knife obviously expressed my issue to the staff who would inform the chef. Sat there waiting for an answer for about 20 minutes to be approached by the waitress who I had spoken to to be told (CHEF SAYS SORRY). When I drop over £30 just on food not including the drink we had i would have expected more than being fobbed...
