Due to understaffing the Hub will only provide disposable containers to serve food and not on plates. The server explained that if I could find staff then perhaps I could have a plate to eat my food from. It's unfortunate that being kind and welcoming to a customer is no longer the first priority what's more important is to find obstacles. They said that they had insufficient staff to clear tables and run a dishwasher. So instead it's better to leave rubbish spilling over the bin and people having to put down their used containers wherever they can find a space. I think there were 10 people in when I visited and 2 staff members, I'm sure a few plates in a dishwasher was an achievable goal....
Read moreNeeds some love. Could be good with a few changes. For example - the breakfast was briefly a tasty buffet but has been cut back to pre-made bacon and sausage buns - but the filled buns are wrapped in paper and left on the hotplate to dry out to biscuits.
For lunch their food is always so close to being tasty it's annoying. For example, last week they had a 'butternut squash crumble' - it would have been delicious if they roasted the butternut squash to get some flavour out of it, but as it was (boiled?), it was flavourless. Extrapolate that across the rest of the food and you'll see that it all just needs more love to...
