Garden of India — Restaurant in Harlow

Worst service ever!!!. Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Got an email confirming order. Got a second email with invoice. Shortly before the meals due arrival got a third email saying food was ready and on its way, confirming the original estimated dekivery time. About 15 minutes past its due time rang the resaurant to ask where meal was. Got the response "are you trying to scam us?" Then they hung up. Waited a minute then rang again. Git told no order in my name and hung up again. Went in to restaurant next day to ask about it. Got told no order taken for me. Showed confirmation email and invoice email. Still denyed it. Showed last email saying foodcwas ready and on way. Still tried to say it wasn't them. Showed on banking app that money had gone to them. As for the phone calls and being accused of scamming they said phones were faulty and kept cutting out!! Eventually agreed to cook meal for us then to takeaway. Food was very nice. Unfortunately despite the food being very tasty we will never use them again due to apauling service with no appology and similar service...

This place was discovered while working in Harlow. The first visit was just 4 of our team. The welcome from Mo the owner was very warm and friendly. The food was excellent 3 courses for some. All tasted fantastic, some of the team asked for theirs pepping up with the heat, everyone was very happy chappies with full intentions of returning. The following week we returned, 6 of us this time. I tried a dish Mo had mentioned the previous week when I ordered a jalfrazi. I was not disappointed. Again the staff were amazing, our every culinary need was taken care of. By the time our work was completed it was not uncommon for there to be a dozen of us to eating there. We even got the name "the Tuesdaynightclub" I live in Barnsley South Yorkshire however now I am not in Harlow anymore I regularly drive down just to eat here. Often with my daughter when she is working up in London, we meet there and I drive her home to Surrey. Top notch food, Great service and an excellent relaxing atmosphere. I really hate to write this as the guy who owns this restaurant is lovely and on the 2 occasion's (over the last couple of years) I have had a takeaway from there has provided a very friendly service. However, I was really disappointed with the food. It was extremely oily and, unfortunately, was also very bland. One the 2nd occasion I had sag aloo and was shocked to find that I really don't think the spinach was spinach. It seemed to be more shredded cabbage. I couldn't tell what it was from the flavour because it didn't have any. The texture was firm and very long, veiny shreds of the vegetable and I believe there is no way it could have been spinach as spinach leaves just aren't that long and firm, or veiny, and they wilt down when cooked anyway. Not sure what it was I ate and because I don't know I couldn't eat there again. (I wouldn't have eaten there again anyway because of the blandness of the food). The only reason I have given 2 stars is because of the friendly nature of the guy...
