As much as I enjoy Pizza Hut's pizza I have felt obliged to abandon them since they moved from Bohemia Road (2 minutes away from me) to Ore. The problem that I have is because, although the food is usually good, they have one delivery driver/rider who we always get allocated and he is slightly slow and special needs, I really don't have a problem with special needs people because I think it's great that they're working and I'm disabled too but rather it's his attitude and overbearing way of treating me. Last time he delivered a pizza to me (last year before the pandemic) he stepped so far forward that he was heavy breathing over me and practically trying to step over the doorstep and into my house, also he hangs around for an awkwardly long amount of time trying to manipulate me into letting him keep all of my change (if I pay by cash) and I was owed about £7 or £8 in change last time and that's a large tip! Asking "Do you REALLY want your change?" (IE. Can I keep it?)and finally he once delivered a pizza which he had blatantly dropped and tried to stuff back in the box to cover his mistake. He handed over a box with all of the sides hanging open (definitely not the way the kitchen staff would package it) and when we opened it - it was in pieces; some upside down and stuck to the lid, some overlapping on top of the others and toppings dropped off everywhere and some with finger compressions where he had forcefully shoved it back in probably through the sides. When I phoned to complain, the guy I spoke to naturally said that none of their drivers would ever do that (I was expecting the denials) but they would send out a replacement pizza free of charge. The same guy (who obviously lied or kept quiet to his bosses) delivered the replacement pizza (which was thankfully fine and untampered with) and I just handed him back the sabotaged first pizza and he kept his gaze on the floor the entire time and wouldn't look into my eyes once. So pizza hut unfortunately lost a delivery customer due to this negligent member of staff, I would only purchase from them again if I knew that I can collect myself. I now use Papa John's who have taken over the old pizza hut delivery unit in...
Read moreVery mid experience. Pizza Hut has really gone downhill. Order arrived 90 MINUTES after ordering!! That’s a full hour and 30 minutes. No apology from the driver, no call from the restaurant to keep us updated why it was late, zero courtesy so the customer service here is on the floor. Pizza tasted stale and cold, like it was made hours ago, looked nothing as advertised. Nachos were like bricks with salsa on top, no joke, they were inedible. Couldn’t finish them. Cookie dough, again, was brick hard, it was like tackling a brick trying to eat that. Feel really let down considering we don’t buy takeaway that much, we’d have been better off getting a frozen pizza or two from the supermarket. Only positives were the drink which was nice and cold and the garlic tear and share which had more cheese to it than the actual pizza. Won’t be ordering again. Pizza GoGo and other local Pizza shops do much better pizzas than these guys. It’s a shame because Pizza Hut used to be...
