The Rye Bakery — Restaurant in Hastings

I understand that this is not a barista coffee specialist shop but I asked for a flat white and when I took the lid off 3 minutes later and was catching my bus so couldn’t get back I discovered an overfilled disgusting weak white coffee. At over £2 it wasn’t exactly cheap either. I would rather have been honestly told they don’t do flat whites or don’t know what that is and I could have ordered something different. Had to throw the coffee down the drain it...

Adam and his team of charming ladies(my favourite is the Spanish lady)provide an exemplary service to every one of their clients...which is not easy in Hastings with its eclectic mix .

The products are great...Coffee,cheese and onion slice,steak pie at really,really reasonable prices.

Beautifully kept..the team take a really high pride in their establishment

Stephen should be very proud of this Hastings branch.

Early morning station run. Stop to buy bread in Ore. Lights on, door open, two people stacking bread, it’s 0646, raining, cold, windy and I ask to buy a loaf. “We’re not open for another 15 minutes!” I said “I’ll just have to stand here in the rain then” so she looked at me and shut the door in my face. I went to the Coop and will continue to do so...
