Visited Sunday the 10th march as the reviews were good. Unfortunately it has just been taken over by new management and the staff don't seem to know what they are doing, 3 front of house staff all getting in each others way, obviously they have never worked in a cafe before and the chef was obviously struggling and not used to working a kitchen. Waited 40mins for some teas. Half the food came out and was OK, not the best but edible, although the bacon was completely overcooked and rock hard, baguette came out with no salad or crisps, asked staff they said they would sort it but went off and completely forgot. 2 breakfasts came out stone cold, 1 with a completely black sausage. These got sent back and a refund given. Feel bad for them but I've worked front of house in many cafes/restaurants and this was disastrous. Read moreWe stopped by this café midweek just after 10:00 and found it pleasantly quiet. The space is a comfortable size, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We ordered the large breakfast, which arrived hot and full of flavour—definitely hit the spot! While we noticed they use coffee pods rather than freshly ground beans (a personal preference of mine), the coffee was still enjoyable.
Overall, we had a great experience. It was a lovely spot to unwind and fuel up before the long journey home—a perfect end to our short...
