The last para. below is a comment i made about this place approximately a year ago. Tonight, i'm sorry to say was less than disappointing. The waiter/owner took our order without writing anything down - impressive if it were not for a number of mistakes that made the night upsetting and disappointing. My son ordered a chicken dish with tomato pasta as he has ordered on several occasions- today it arrived without the chicken! I have an onion allergy which i made clear and wanted a prawn dish with chilli and a white wine sauce with herbs - I received a prawn dish in a white sauce, mushrooms without chilli and as my stomach has reacted badly since the moment i arrived home can only guess had garlic in it.
Unfortunately, i was too polite to say something at the time and my son only mentioned his dish had no chicken in it until we got home.
The cost of living today prevents us as a family going out very often and have saved up over the last few weeks to have this treat. Very disappointed and a far cry from the nights out we have had there before and the sensitive nature they have shown us in putting together specific dishes to avoid reactions due to our food allergies.
Simply - I do not understand why you do not take the order and write it down!! It simply does not impress when you get served something you did not order!
Just to add insult to injury there was a burning smell that in the kitchen that meant the door had to be opened. I get it - things happen but there was no announcement/apology from the staff to explain why - sorry it just about put the icing on the cake.

Just thought we would try it. Glad we did! My son and I have a number of allergies and they were very helpful putting together two dishes we could eat. My son was very impressed with his Penne, chicken and tomato dish. The waitress was also very pleasant...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming local Italian restaurant. This hidden gem offers an amazing mix of delectable seafood, mouthwatering pizzas, and a home-made tiramisu that's out of this world. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality. The staff's attention to detail and excellent service truly set the tone for a fantastic evening. The best part? The prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a wonderful option for anyone craving a taste of Italy without breaking the bank. I ordered for their mixed seafood plate, and I was blown away by the freshness and quality of the seafood. It was a true delight to savor a variety of flavors from the sea, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. As a seafood lover, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Of course, I couldn't resist trying one of my friend’s pizza, and it didn't disappoint. The thin crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were generous and flavorful. To end the meal on a sweet note, I indulged in their home-made tiramisu. This classic Italian dessert was a heavenly combination of velvety mascarpone and delicate layers. It was evident that the chef's dedication to authenticity paid off, as each bite transported me to the streets of Italy. In conclusion, my visit to this little corner Italian restaurant was a delightful experience from start to finish. The reasonably priced menu, exceptional mix of seafood and pizza, and impeccable service make it a must-visit for both locals and visitors. If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience that won't break the bank, this charming establishment is the...
Read moreWent in today for a late lunch for two. We have eaten here several times in the last few years as well as having take always. The restaurant was completely empty save for one table with three diners.
The waitress at the door had a very serious and miserable attitude. She asked if we had a reservation which we didn’t and then said she would check her list to see if any table would be available, and then said that she had one table for one and a half hours only, perfectly fine by us.
She pointed in the direction of several tables and then walked away. We went to the tables she had gestured too and then we had to wait to get her attention before asking which particular table.
As we walked to the table I heard coming through the speaker a familiar sound.
It was not something Italian, but verses from the holy Quran being sung by a reciter. I know this because I am from the Middle East. It was not appropriate for an Italian restaurant.
We ordered 2pizzas and a tower of grilled courgette and aubergine with cherry tomatoes topped with mozzarella.
It was all undercooked and the cheese topping burnt.
The pizzas were over cooked so that the crust was black.
I don’t believe that the owner was around as I can’t imagine any Italian would pass it off as Italian food.
I’m only glad that we didn’t order any of the more elaborate dishes as we have done so in the past as by the standard of todays menu it would have been a disaster.
Perhaps there has been a change in the chef.
Vincenzo please...
