Really welcome & v friendly cafe. What a relief to arrive here, when most cafes locally shut early and have run out of food, this lovely little gem is open till 5pm and with a fab delicious selection of homemade food. Very nice ambience, serving area - inspiring, notices, cards, leaflets, and an exhibition of landscape photographs, v walker / cyclist / community orientated and just downright friendly. Such a pleasant place to be, nice seating indoors and outside too, cycle racks and locks to loan, water for dogs, proper crockery - thank goodness!, (-so many use single use plastic lined cups / and plastic lids out there) not here! Plus, delicious cake and iceceam - what's not to love! Thank you for...

Have eaten here many times over the years, and never disappointed! As a Coeiliac eating out is tricky and often anxiety inducing, but never had an issue getting something gluten free here, and best of all no reaction afterwards from cross contamination. Staff are welcoming and accommodating, there’s always a great range of food on offer, locks for the bike racks too, so you don’t have to worry about someone walking off with your bike while you have one of their amazing milkshakes! The cafe also organise a great range of rides, it really is a welcoming and inclusive place with a lovely...

Group of 3, came in just before 3:30pm when they were closing at 4pm. Asked if able to still order hot food and was told no -which was understandable. Ordered 3 coffees and cakes knowing the shop would be closing at 4pm but made to feel very unwelcome for the twenty minutes we were there. Generally passive aggressive -had tables needlessly clattered around us and excessive noise of ā€œcleaning upā€ in what was a very empty cafe.

Would’ve preferred it they had been up front about not accepting any more orders unless for takeaway or closed...

Finally found a decent cafe in the Peak District! So many close early, only open a few days a week and serve weak coffee! I had the croque monsieur, which was fabulous, and a latte which was so good, I had another! The cakes looked great but I'll have to go back for one another time. One look around the walls tells you this cafe is aimed at cyclists, with notices of upcoming cycling events and groups you can join. I'm not a cyclist but I still felt welcome! The staff were friendly. The place was clean. You can eat inside or on the one table outside.
