Me and my now hubby held our wedding reception at this beautiful location. During our wedding we also stayed at here at one of the lodges to get ready and to stay after the reception. Firstly the master bedroom of the lodge was decorated with Mr and Mrs banners, confetti and the towels had been made into beautiful swans! The reception was mainly planned by Eve and Frankie who are absolutely amazzzzzinnnggg, they made sure we had everything we wanted and more, even ordering in our favourite tipples for the occasion! We provided some decorations but otherwise the outdoor seating area was transformed into the most beautiful scene, all decorations that we'd supplied were used by frankie and the team, meaning we didn't have to do any setting up or the dreaded clean up! Riverside took care of everything! Ensuring wedding gifts were kept safe until we could collect the next day too! The food here is absolutely incredible, our wedding breakfast was a tapas style which all the guests loved, even the fussy eaters were catered for too!! If you're planning a wedding here is the best place to hold your reception if you want nothing but a stress free day and a top notch breakfast after it aswell! Also when we booked the venue there was no venue hire fee! You only paid for the food and drinks to which was catered for beautifully 😍 ❤️❤️❤️

We didn't stay at one of the lodges but the restaurant was excellent. Choosing a late breakfast on the most beautiful day this was a perfect setting to enjoy our meal. The food was served promptly by efficient staff and still lovely and warm even though we eat outside. The views along the river and beyond were spectacular with several people setting off on the motor boats to hire from the same establishment they also provide cycle hire for the more energetic. Perhaps the only downside was that if you have ,as we did, an evoucher they have no means of putting any remaining amount back on a voucher meaning that we had to choose cakes to take away rasher than losing the remainder of the money, but that said the cakes look fantastic as well. Perhaps if you intend to use evouchers you get several in smaller amounts rather than missing out, think the owners need to address this issue. Book ahead of time as we did to get the best seating alongside the river and then just enjoy. This was our first visit here but definitely will not be our last, congratulations to all the staff.

After driving past this place for 4 decades I finally stopped in and ate! I appreciate it hasn't always been Riverside, but my 10yo self was so excited to finally stop here! I highly recommend the brie and beetroot chutney tart, and the boyf says that the Riverside burger is very tasty. They have a good selection of foods (though a cheese and pickle ciabatta would be appreciated by this vegetarian). There is a GF and Vegan menu if you need one which is really helpful. The view across the River Arun is very pleasant to look at; we would've loved to have taken a boat out but we're not sure if our dog would have enjoyed it! I really wanted to see the seal named Gav! One of the many things I liked about this tea room is that there is a table where you can meet other people just for a chat if you're on your own. It certainly looks wheelchair accessible inside, and with some help a wheelchair could certainly access the terrace that overlooks the river. I shall return to be able to have more of the chocolate cake! Thank you!

Ciabatta was dry Had to tell the waitress how to make the chai latte Didn’t give us a bill that showed we were being charged service so we ended up paying £6 service for shocking service and terrible communication. Overpriced and won’t ever return

Per the response: You were pretty empty so ‘sorting us out a table wasn’t exactly hard’ I did mention the need for chutney because the ciabatta was SO DRY so that itself counts for mentioning a problem Per the instructions of the chai latte (that weren’t followed) and your waitress even saying ‘oh we’re trying different ways of making it’ shows that the chai latte was not made the way it should be hence the awful tasting thing I was served to begin with. The waitress even took on with gratitude the guidance on how to make and serve a proper chai latte which then tasted fine. We didn’t get a hard copy of the bill and the waitress even said ‘oh sorry that’s our mistake’ Also only 4 people ate at lunch; not disputing adding service on but outlined previously ‘shocking communication’. Customers shouldn’t have to return to the counter after leaving to question it. Not really unpleasant customers just pointing out when something isn’t right considering we are paying customers. Customer service goes a long way and as the owners you have none. You won’t have business the way you carry on with that attitude wishing people to not come back. Maybe try being a little more graceful, not so defensive and problem solve rather than just bite back.

P.s I also even had to baby highchair before putting mine in it because it was filthy.. your wait staff even saw this and just ignored it and...

Stunning views and great for dog walking. The only downside is getting in and out of the park on a sharp blind bend. |The lodge was so clean and has everything you need (hair dryers, towels, first aid kit, shampoo and body wash, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space). Kitchen was well equipped; dishwasher, washing machine, all utensils and crockery you will need, large fridge and freezer, microwave and oven/hob. |Lovely dining area with wonderful views as is the lounge area. Free WiFi. Lovely bathroom and en suite with fabulous power shower. |Site has boat and bike hire. |Also has cafe open until 4pm for breakfast/lunch - indoor and outdoor seating. |Feels secure as you have two electric gates to get in and out (main one open during cafe hours but one to lodges is always closed). |Great location for walks and pub lunches. Very close to Amberley Castle and the South Downs way. |Arundel is only about 10 minute drive and beaches at littlehampton are about 25 minutes. |It was the most relaxing holiday and very quiet in the lodges. Dogs very welcome on site and in the cafe. |One recommendation for improvement would be to have some kind of gate across the lodge steps to allow your dog to be outside but not able to wander off. Would also have liked some kind of outdoor shade for me and the dog. |We will definitely be returning later in the year (shame they aren’t open over...

Stayed in Bury Countryside lodge for 4 nights with my Husband and our black lab. There was plenty of space. Lovely spot by the river and a great location. The lodge had everything you needed hand wash, shower gel, shampoo, toilet rolls, towels, tea towels, sponges, dish washing tablets and washing up liquid. The kitchen had all the utensils you needed. The train station was a few minutes walk up the road. Yes you can hear the trains but they were not that loud. We jumped on the train to Bognor Regis - 30 mins. There is a café on site. Guest receive 10% discount. I'm unable to comment on the food as we did not eat there. We drove to Storrington (8 mins drive) to Waitrose and the chippy - Storrington Fish which is near Waitrose. There is also a Tesco Express which is in the petrol station. We did a circular walk of Amberley daily along the river Arun, It was so peaceful and wonderful views. We went to Amberley Museum which is next to the train station. Great value for money and you can take dogs. If you have a blue light card. They will give you discount. I agree with a previous review there is a sharp blind bend when getting in/out of the park. Window down and radio off to hear the traffic. A mirror on the opposite side of the turning would be a good idea to see the oncoming traffic. We said we would come back and book a riverside lodge and explore more of the area. Great 4...
