I recently had an exceptional experience at The Bridge Inn, and it truly deserves every one of these five stars. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that my visit was as enjoyable as possible. Their service was prompt, friendly, and made me feel right at home. The food was simply outstanding. Each dish was cooked to perfection, showcasing the chef’s skill and attention to detail. The flavours were spot on, and it was clear that only the freshest ingredients were used. It was everything you could hope for in a great pub meal. The atmosphere was equally impressive. I spent a delightful afternoon in the beer garden, which was beautifully maintained and provided the perfect setting on a sunny day. The garden was well-kept, offering a peaceful and inviting environment to relax with a drink. Overall, The Bridge Inn combines excellent food, superb service, and a fantastic atmosphere, making it a top choice for anyone looking for a great pub experience. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

We walked from Pitersfield to Amberley through the South Downs Way, and didn’t know there is a pub near the train station. Was such a treat after 3 days of hiking to find such a cozy pub. We each got a pint of our chosen bitter and then we went with day’s special of this yummy pie and veggies. We ate it all. And then decided to have a share of an apple crumble which happened to be berry crumble which is not a problem. Only thing is we believe it was microwaved and some of the berries became mush. But honestly it was all so yummy and the service was so lovely. Also for anyone worrying about social distancing, all the staff wear masks and there is god space between tables. Toilets are only used one person at a time. We haven’t been in a pub in a long time and this was a great way to finish our hiking adventure. Thanks !

We had a family meal here while out for a walk. Food came in a reasonable time and a decent size and price. Sometimes had difficulty catching the eye of staff. Draught beer and cider includes Stowford Press, Neck Oil and Proper Job which went down well. I had a halloumi burger which had a lovely amount of halloumi and it wasn't chewy but soft, great mix with pesto and peppers. Husband had steak and kidney suet pudding which was a favourite and the rest of the table had scampi (great big fat chips that were crispy and soft inside) and then mackerel pate and prawn cocktail (starters so they could justify dessert). The st Clements cheesecake was full of citrus but no orange and very creamy, otherwise didn't pack much flavour Toilets clean and well looked after

Nice place, busy and good food. customer service was spot on, really quick and attentive to customers and there is no waiting around when you want/need a beer, as soon as your empty they will ask if you want another.

Highly recommend booking on a Sunday as it was busy and almost at capacity especially if you want to dine inside.

Toilets are very clean and in general the pub is well looked after with sanitisation happening straight away when people leave.

The reason for 4 starts is because the Beef on the roast was not as tender as it should be for a £15 roast dinner and fairly gristly. The Covers/Tent/marque in the garden whilst they protect you against the elements the really do bring the nice surroundings down due to needing a bit of a clean to tidy them up. Also could to with some repair in some places.

Most certainly recommend a visit and i will visit again and try some other menu items as well.

And in response to the owners response, yes i am 100% sure it was the Bridge inn and the pub that i am reviewing. PS thank you for the correction on the price. for £15.50 i would expect a better quality of rib eye...
