Appalling service. We booked in advance and quickly shown to our seats (part of 6). The, very nervous, server took our drink and food order withing 5 mins of being seated (so far so good). Just under 20 mins later our drinks arrived. We'll most. We only got 5 of the 6 order she had forgotten the coffee. She put the drinks tray on the table and stood there looking. Eventually I distributed 5he drinks, she took the tray and asked, again, what the 6th drink was. She soon arrived with the coffee and my wife asked for sweetener. She said they only jave sugar in small packets. So my son went to to car to get some from his bag. On the way he saw a selection of condiments (near where they serve breakfast) including the sweetener that our server said they do not do. Food arrived soon after the drinks, once all food had been served I looked for the. "jug of gravey" that should have come with my I order of three mini pies, I had to get the attention of a server and ask for it. I Should have had 1 chicken tikka 1 steak and Ale 1 minted lamb. Jad the chicken tikka (dry and pasty and sucked the moisture from my mouth) but the other two were either both steak and ale OR they forgot to put the mint in the minted lamb .. .. yes I am being sarcastic they were both the same). 5he meal was small, a few chips and a few peas. Ledt me hungry. Meanwhile, my son called a server and asked for a steak knife to cut his steak, it didn't arrive and he had to get someone else attention and ask again. He then noted that he did not get the "half a fried tomato" that should have some with his mixed grill. Then on cutting his "medium rare" steak he found it was on the well cooked side of "medium well". My wife had Fish pie. Clearly ledt too long in the microwave as even after opening it up and leaving it for some minutes it was still hotter than the sun (yes an exaggeration but you get my drift). She said she struggled to find any fish, appart from three prawns, it was more like mash and sauce. On the plus side, my sons wife had smothered chicken, it was a huge meal, on a big plate and so much you couldn't see the plate, she said it was very nice. The children liked their pizza and sides. On finishing our meals and sitting there for a considerable time we manged tonget someones attention and order the kids deserts. 20 minutes son went to find someone and ask how much longer as we had a 2 hour journey ahead of us and it was now gone 7 PM and the kids were getting tires. He was told they "are doing them and it will be another 5 mins". So tottal of 25 mins to prepare on child's ice cream and one child's brownie and ice cream. During the entire time there no-one asked how our meal was or if everything was OK. Needless to say we did ot leave a tip and will not be in a...
Read moreI have eaten here many times since 2014 In May I decided to change my eating habits: large breakfast (here) small lunch and light snack supper. Pretty much every morning I have 2 bowls of different cereals and fruits plus fresh whole fruit (total 23 plant varieties. I sprinkle my own seed selection on the cereal (plus 5 plants) and drown it with ice cold whole milk. If still hungry I have 3 scrambled eggs, 2 hash browns, mushrooms and beans (3 more plants) Between May and October I have lost 5kg. I have had diabetes for more then a quarter of a century - 29 years and am 79 in three days' time. Eating like this has completely CURED my diabetes. I no longer take 3 tablets a day to control blood sugar levels. Followers of professor Tim Spector and the beloved Michael Moseley will know what has happened to me. I fixed my biome (the bugs in your gut) All it was to me was: a hearty breakfast each morning. To my biome it was a daily feast of nutrients for the good flora to the exclusion of the bad ones. I feel great! Thanks to the Hut and all it's kind and caring staff - and breakfast.. Read moreNever have I had such an awful meal in my life just couldn't eat it . Firstly the meat was tasteless , the Brussels that appeared to be frozen were overcooked and hadn't been drained. The pigs in blankets were just one cocktail sizes sausage with possibly less than hal a rather of bacon wrapped round it, the stuffing was a frozen stuffing ball that was soggy inside and the carrots tasteless. We had booked for a group of ten for the Christmas meal yet were charged on individual items so it made the bill nearly seventy pounds dearer than what it should have been . No atmosphere, no Christmas crackers or decorations. A person serving although very polite was clearly out of their depth and kept coming back to the table to question things , Also tables set out in a manor that mean I personally had my my back to two clients, When a member of staff brought some puddings that were not for our table she really seemed quite stressed and abrupt This was the same person who when we were trying to pay the bill was getting very flustered. These were clients who have learning difficulties , autism etc and we're looking forward to this meal and we're very upset about the whole experience. Myself I only ate my starter ,yes the pate and the chutney were ok but the toast was one slice of an extremely cheap value bread ,no presation ,no side salad or decoration etc. for £16.99 you don't expect to much but sorry this was awful . Definitely do not recommend and certainly would not visit again. To make matters worse we paid out £56 in taxi's getting there...
