Lovely place for a walk and a paddle in the river on a hot day. One thing thats not so good though. I went to the loo (the one on the left as you look at them and it was well below par. The seat was not fixed to the loo, the floor was very wet and the bin was overflowing with tissue. Not what's expected from an NT site. I did return to the same loo a couple of hours later after my walk and sadly it was still in thr same state. Parking is plentiful. Café is pleasant.

£7.40 for a cream tea. Tea bag shoved into a paper cup. Scone was clearly out of the freezer and only just defrosted. But the best bit was finding a hair embedded in the scone.

Perfect little friendly cafe with delightful staff. Gets 'really' busy sometimes, particularly in good weather and summertime, so it's worth remembering to be kind and courteous to the staff at busy times, as they work incredibly hard and are a delight to talk to. Runs year round too, which I hadn't realised...
