Amici Coffee Huntingdon — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

Following on from a request on my phone to review a local business that I use most days, I was saddened to read a previous negative review from ‘Eagle Eyes’ which has compelled me to leave a comment regarding Amici Coffee, Huntingdon myself.

Having been a regular customer for several months, a chef by profession and currently employed as an Inspector of commercial catering establishments,. I would like to say that in my experience at Amici Coffee I have only ever been served by professional, polite & friendly staff, who go above and beyond to give excellent customer service. As far as the hygiene is concerned, from what I have seen and witnessed as a customer, all food safety standards are rigorously adhered to and the establishment is consistently clean, presentable and tidy. I have not ever seen evidence of any of the negative feedback left by Eagle Eyes and I feel it is a very unfair reflection of what I believe is a valuable asset to the local Railway Station that is continually enjoyed and...

Came here for a coffee to find nobody at the till but outside, which to me said that they didn't want the trade. It wasn't even clear who was staff. I was stood waiting for them to notice that they had a customer (a lady nearby also noticed nobody serving so walked away), when they finally noticed after about 3 minutes one of them said 'are you waiting to be served? Oh you should have said' oh you should be looking like you want the trade instead of messing around outside, yes if you're on a smoke break but they were just chatting. The coffee tasted just like the sort you get from a train station chain like SSP, utterly rubbish and didn't taste like a real coffee should, the slightest hint of it and that's all. Best coffee in town great service as well. Leon and Cameron (great guys) are always smiling and welcoming to everyone and always make it a great start to any day. I stop whenever I have time before my train. Even sometimes when I don’t think I have the time, these guys work hard at making sure everyone gets their orders quickly so they can still catch their train in time. They are an absolute credit to Amici Coffee 10/10...
