Unfortunately, our experience at this café was extremely disappointing. The food was some of the most bland I’ve ever tasted, and alarmingly, one of our sausages was undercooked in the middle. We also observed staff dropping food on the floor and picking it up, coughing over food without covering their mouth, which raises concerns about hygiene and proper training. The coffee was surprisingly poor, despite the café having a decent machine, you could see two of the staff struggling to use it and was Like the blind leading the blind and suggests staff may need better training or guidance in preparing quality drinks.
The café advertises free Wi-Fi with loud signage encouraging customers to “just ask,” yet staff were unaware of how to provide access, and even after contacting the owner, no one knew how to help us. This lack of basic knowledge highlights a broader issue with attention to detail, care and attention.
This café genuinely has potential, but to reach it, the owners need to invest significantly in training their staff to a proper professional standard. It would benefit them to visit some of the top cafés and breakfast spots in the North West to understand the standard they should aspire to.
Additionally, improving ingredient quality would make a substantial difference— instead of using the cheapest ingredients available. This would drastically enhance taste and customer satisfaction.
Currently, the café seems to be cutting corners in every area, and the result is chaotic. I urge the owners to reflect seriously on why they are running this business and seriously address these issues rather than relying solely on a few positive reviews is suspect are from friends with blind faith . With genuine effort, clearer standards, and proper training, this place could become somewhere people genuinely...
Read moreI work from home and don't have time to cook. Right where do I start, not lived in Accrington long but had a lot of takeaways. This place is the best breakfast by a long way. The only other one local that can come near is cafe ri Ann but they don't deliver..The breakfast is immaculately presentanted, the sausages bacon egg was amazing, hash brown best I have ever had and I have been to the states!!..I had an issue the week before as order was a bit cold but they put it right without question. Moving forward this will be my goto place for breakfast. One very slight and I mean slight is maybe toast rather than bread and butter but that's only 1 very minor thing. Anybody thinking of ordering a brekkie do not hesitate to order..I can't wait to try the home made cakes. I will also state I have no affiliation to the cafe, all I will say in closing is try and...
Read moreThis café was such a lucky find! My sister and I were taking my mum to places where she used to live. This was 2 minutes away.
The owners were so friendly and welcoming, the café was lovely and warm, the facilities were clean and well-stocked too.
My mum and I had a small breakfast each. The food was cooked to perfection. The drinks were exactly as specified too - my mum can be very exacting!
We would all definitely come back. One more thing: the prices are staggeringly low and such good value for money! I live in Manchester and what we all had would have been at least twice...
