Finch Bakery — Restaurant in Hyndburn

I'm spoilt that my local cakery is Finch Bakery! Always gorgeous staff serving with a smile and beyond exceptional customer service! When products weren't able to be reserved it was the only minor thing that I wasn't a fan of (as a local cba waiting for half an hour for the goods-and I do mean THE GOODS). But fair enough given it's based on operational/justified reasons. Their response to Covid plus their commitment and interest in the local community is beautiful. THERE IS STILL A PLACE YOU ARE SERVED WITH A BIG WARM SMILE-IT'S UNDER THEIR MASK AND YOU CAN SEE IT IN THEIR EYES!! And the cake, cookies, brownies and everything they do is OUTSTANDING. No such thing as just cake etc. Honestly, you can taste their passion for their work and love of their staff. If you find 'dry cake' you're either eating it wrong or there is some unique circumstance because Finch doesn't make dry cake. Finch makes addictive, morish, feel good, weigh more bakes - they last for AGES aswel. I've had brownies at least 3 weeks later that were just in my pantry and still amazing. Frozen and thawed-amazing. Fresh, too decadent to inhale but amazing to savour. Great work ladies and any lads involved. The contribution to GH High Street is insane and we don't deserve you but we (at least me for sure lol) are spoilt to have you! DESSERT TABLE RECOMMENDATION!

Being honest, we are the couple who are never bothered about watching other couples cut a cake at weddings and therefore we did not want to follow this tradition at our own. Having a dessert table instead of a wedding cake was one of the best decisions we made!! Not only did the blondies and brownies go down a storm on the evening, guests are still raving about them (3 weeks later!) They were absolutely delicious and full of flavour. The cherry bakewell blondie was a firm favourite by our guests and the salted caramel brownie was particularly divine. We ordered 3 trays of brownies and 2 trays of blondies from the ‘no frills’ dessert table package. Communication was fast and efficient when placing the order - they were very accommodating when we changed from using the postal service to collection. Lovely experience in the store when collecting the items; great customer service with a warm and friendly welcome. One of the members of staff even helped me carry it all to my car which was greatly appreciated. We came across Finch Bakery back during the first lockdown and once we were able to travel finally and visit family (we live in Bristol), we made sure that we stopped by to load up on some yummy treats. We have been back every time since, and have also ordered several times for postal delivery on birthdays and for friends which have always been well received! We thought then that it made complete sense when we saw that Finch Bakery were offering dessert tables, to make sure we booked them in for our wedding! We ordered a dessert table consisting of 250 brownies and it was honestly one of the best ideas we had for it. The delivery arrived exactly when it was meant to and everything was packaged so nicely! The brownies themselves were absolutely stunning and sooo delicious! We honestly had so many compliments on them throughout the evening as the guests just loved them and most guests made sure they took a few home to enjoy the next day! When seeing friends for the first time after the wedding, they've brought up again how good the brownies were and said they'll be sure to order some online.
