Costa — Restaurant in Ipswich

Missing drink from breakfast order, phoned to ask Costa to send it to our house as we did not want a refund or to pay for another Uber Eats order (why should we?), we just wanted the missing drink for my sick partner. They refused to send it out, just messaged Uber Eats to sort their mess to which they obviously did not receive a response to for the whole day and still haven't 2 days later. They really should implement having their own drivers to sort this kind of mess out if they're going to make mistakes when orders are sent out. It is still unresolved and when I spoke to the manager about this and the lady who kept repeating that she was waiting for Uber Eats, the manager could not care less, was rude and hung up on me in the middle of speaking telling me to go to customer services about it and gave me a number that doesn't work. I used to use this Costa a great deal. It's always been easy to use, and the staff have always been friendly. As a Driving Therapist, I've been working through the pandemic, supporting key workers. I must be able to find an establishment with a restroom and obtain a quick snack on the go. Sadly, this costa has now closed the toilet and no longer makes tea or coffee unless ordered via an app. As you can imagine, using apps and driving don't mix. They've also dropped taking cash - my main source of payment, so I can't even use the drive through. I understand there is a pandemic - I sit less than a metre away from.clients all day - while Costa staff can continue to social distance. After having a couple of mouthfuls of my coffee, a fly landed in it. I decided not to finish it, and carried on chatting to my family. A Costa employee noticed my drink as he came past to collect our tray and offered me a replacement but I said it was fine. Just as we started to leave, the same guy asked us to follow him to the till, where he asked a member of staff to refund me, not only for my drink but my order. I was happy enough with the refund for my coffee as totally not expecting it.
