We stopped by while we waited for food elsewhere. The rugby and football was on and the atmosphere was lovely, everyone we seen were having a great time. Very wholesome and friendly mood. Lovely pints of Guinness too. A great spot!

I was at McBrides restaurant with a group of seniors, this is one of our favourite places. We had a good menu, I noticed quite a few people had salmon, chicken and roast beef. Everything was cooked to perfection really well presented and enjoyed by all. Delicious home made desserts followed by teas and coffee. If you like a couple of beverages in the bar, it's casual with all the usual t.v. sports. The restaurant upstairs is very smart with a cheery greeting from the excellent staff. The meal we had (4 of us) was superb, hot tasty home made vegetable broth, then roast beef with fluffy mash, roasties, veg and gravy. Finished off with fresh pavlova. Landlord Ivan was the reason for my repeated visits. He is a singular man. Also the 'regulars' were welcoming and friendly. The best Guinness anywhere.
