Grill Mill @ Pino's — Restaurant in Kirklees

This is coming from someone who is a REGULAR by the way, or at least used to be.

Pinos has, for the most part, always served good quality food, with their burgers being amongst the best in Huddersfield.

However, in recent time, management has absolutely jumped off a cliff. The excitement and pride in running this place has died and it's really sad to see. A simple example includes the last few orders I've placed, which have all been late by "10 to 15 mins boss". If I call up and you tell me my order will be ready in 20 mins, despite knowing you're busy and can't realistically make that time, you have no one to blame but yourself. Especially when you end up taking double that time. I'm not talking about one occasion by the way, there's been multiple...

Where service used to be excellent, now you should expect bored looking men jumping in and out of what looks like a cloakroom sized kitchen, frantically trying to stay on top of orders. And no, they still haven't cleaned up/renovated that shoddy, barren looking takeaway.

I'm only giving 1 star. This is because we ordered 2 burgers plain, we received our burgers full of everything we asked not to have. We had to wait around an hour and a half for the food to be delivered, even though we got told 40 minutes on the phone. We also had to ring up twice before they left the shop to deliver to us. I'm also unhappy because we got over charged.. the burgers alone came to the price of just under £12 Delivery was suppose to be £1.30 This should of priced up to £13.30 We got told on the phone it was £14.70 They delivered the food and said it was £15.50. I'm am so annoyed as I live so close to the shop, but because I haven't been well I thought it was best to stay indoors so I asked for delivery. The person who delivered the food even walked to my house. There was no car. The reason I have given a star is because the food itself was good and was still warm. Amazingly slow to deliver, (like nearly 2hrs) and no communication from the restaurant. And when I phoned to chase them for the 2nd time they offered me a couple of cans of pop as compensation! That's an order with 5 mains in it. What exactly am I meant to do with 2 cans of pop. Have half each and leave someone out? Other places give you better than that just for making a decent order. And they have the cheek to charge for delivery. I could have driven to the shop, bought food, prepared and cooked it in the time it took to get this order...... and that's midweek. Ain't never going here again. This isn't going to see the light of day on here but I'll give them a couple of hours before this review goes out to all the social media they handley...
