WOWSERS! Our wedding at this most stunning Manor House 18.04.25. Starting with Jaine who contacted me from my initial enquiry, my previous wedding venue went into administration and on my enquiry I informed the Manor House of this and guess what I didn't receive a generic automatic thank you for your enquiry email Jaine actually picked up the phone to call me and was so empathetic and genuinely wanted to help me she rest assured me that she could help and this instantly put me at ease and I started to gain my confidence back knowing that we will have our dream wedding. On the 4th January 2025 we drove from Birmingham to view the venue and we instantly fell in love as soon as we stepped in the door. I am the most particular person I think you would meet and I'm very hard to please sometimes HA but Jaine answered every question I had and I was just blown away, what a true asset you are. We booked our wedding instantly and with 3 months to go we were introduced to Gemma our wedding coordinator we had a video call to start discussing our needs and requirements and boy was that an easy phone call Gemma just got it I honestly had not one bit on concern or doubt I was so relieved I thought with me being me this is going to take a lot of effort and time but no the joy I felt to not have to worry about a single thing was just mind blowing for me. Gemma kept in contact with me all the way whenever I had a question or needed to add anything she was there but this didn't need to happen a lot because from first call it was sorted I know all brides would appreciate having this feeling so if your looking to have a stress free wedding gets to booking NOW believe me. From the morning Gemma, Jaine and team were on hand meeting me on arrival checking in on me the morning if our wedding everything it was just wonderful you really do get to feel like a true bride. Manuel our operations manager for our day what a guy so organised and on hand from lighting, to playlists the running of the bar and order of the day everything ran to a T the whole thing was just FABULOUS so from the bottom of our hearts thank you so, so much the Manor House staff and all the team are the absolute best just pure quality and all our guests could not stop commenting on the food and the service. Read moreOur wonderful wedding venue we just want to say the biggest thank you! We had our wedding at Manor House on 20 April and it was a day beyond our wildest dreams. Manor House really made our dreams come true. The level of attention to detail and how looked after we felt is more than just a day, it stemmed from us first booking with Jaine in July 2023, when we saw how stunning MH and the coach house is and knew it was perfect for us, and has been continuous ever since, the team were always there if we had a query and it's been a wonderful journey from start to finish.
Frankie was our wedding Coordinator and has been an absolute dream, she put so much thought and heart into our wedding planning and really helped us make everything personal to us. You can tell she cares about each couple she worked with and I just want to give her the biggest hug for looking after Luke and I so much and making our day perfect! We have so many people to thank you Frankie, Jaine, Manuel, Jodie, Aimee, Henry, Ruby and the lovely night porter Alex (sorry if I've got his name mixed up) to name just a few who made our day so seamless and special. From breakfast and a cocktail first thing in the morning to our last goodbye at the night to breakfast the next day - the team really put the hours in to make your vision come to life.
Nothing was too much trouble for the MH team, from catering to a fully nut free (I'm severely allergic) and vegan wedding to Manuel and the team coming up with these dreamy personalised cocktails for our day. The wedding breakfast food was so divine. One thing MH don't do is phone it in and while I originally thought I'd have to settle for a boring pasta and fruit salad combo, that wasn't the case at all. The dishes we had were all creative (caramelised shallot and pedro Ximenez tart for starter, apricot and chickpea tagine with sweet potato pave for main and chocolate and raspberry delice for dessert), mindblowingly delicious and we got so many compliments from our guests.
I can't recommend MH and the team highly enough. It's such a beautiful place and we had the most amazing day. We can't wait to return and stay again for our anniversaries. Thank you...
Read moreI have always been meaning to visit here for a long time, so glad we finally visited.
It was a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon when we visited. Our plans were to have a few drinks then enjoy some fine dining in the Lantern room. Sadly all the seats outside at the front were taken so we went on in to let the staff know we had a reservation later on, he said oh I can take you upstairs to the rooftop terrace, what a great surprise.
The mixologist at the bar was very good we sampled a few cocktails whilst enjoying the lovely sunshine, what a great setting up there.
Later on it was time for our meal, the Lantern room is beautifully decorated and the staff were great, always making sure you had everything you need.
We had a mix of appetizers to start which were so tasty and very well presented, a board of fresh sourdough came with a butter made up of marmite and beef dripping, what an amazing mix would never dreamed of putting those together but super tasty.
For starter I had the Lobster, the bisque that accompanied it was so tasty flavours continuosly coming through, attention to detail fantastic with beautiful edible flowers and fantastic vegetables so finally cut.
For main I had the Lamb and Artichoke again you could not fault the dish, so well presented and the sauce was so rich and tasty.
Deserts were one of the best I have had in a long time I had a mango and coconut desert, the coconut ice cream was so tasty, the mango mouse delicately made inside a glazed orange ball,as soon as you cut into it you could tell it was going to be enjoyable. I could keep going on so much about this desert.
I would strongly recommend this restaurant and hotel not that we stayed but if it's going by the restaurant and staff I'm sure it would be great.
I will definitely be visiting again for the sample menu which I believe is held a couple of times a month. A great chef in a beautiful restaurant....
