I flew into England yesterday for a family wedding, staying in Fixby and had to have wander round our old stomping ground of Cowcliffe. We were enticed by the smells from The Spice Garden so popped in and ordered a takeaway which was ready as promised in 20 minutes. What can I say? So I've just been to spice garden at The Shepherds Arms and I can't recommend it enough. I started with the sundries tray of mint sauce, mango, lime pickle and a mixed chutney with poppadoms. Absolutely delicious. Then followed with Seekh kebab. It was freshly cooked and the perfect mix of spices. I then had lamb dopiaza. It was fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked, accompanied with a beautiful naan, the perfect combination of soft and crispy. I will definitely be going back...
