The Coffee Mill & Cakes — Restaurant in Kirklees

I haven’t left a review for anywhere for years, however I HAD to log on and leave one for this beautiful little coffee shop/cafe. One of my favourite things to do is visit coffee shops with a good book.. and The Coffee Mill does not disappoint. The coffee is delicious and the cakes are to die for!!! There’s nothing worse than buying a cake and it not being very nice, but I can confidently say that I try a different one each time here, and I’m always so so impressed!! Today I had a rice-crispy slice with a caramel fudge type centre.. OH MY WORD… taste sensation! I would visit daily but my waistline would not thank...

Nice enough cafe, the low review is because of lack of facilities for babies. It generally isn't very accessible with steps to get in and doesn't have an accessible toilet either. It is only a small cafe and lady was lovely helping me with the pram. There weren't any high chairs or facilities to change my baby. I wouldn't have gone if I'd have known this but when we got there we made the most of it. The lady was really lovely bringing the coffee over and I changed my baby in the cafe before it closed. A bit disappointed, especially as there are lots of young families...

How lucky we are to have this Wonderful cafe in the village. The cosy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a pleasure to come here every time, not to mention the delicious cakes and goodies. It’s been a god send whilst on maternity leave to be able to leave the house with my baby and meet other mums and friends here a short walk from my house. It’s clear from the outset that the little shop isn’t the most accessible with a pram however they always offer to help up the steps! Grateful that have this lovely lovely coffee shop on...
