Met up here with some London friends for a roast before they headed back. Lovely friendly staff who were very attentive. The food was amazing, you can tell when it's fresh and home made rather than the bland offers from chain pubs. Perfectly cooked beef, fluffy big Yorkshire and a great selection of veg including my favourite creamed leeks. We added a cauli cheese and pigs in blankets to share. Very well patronised public house on the Monday night, probably 95% of customers are there to take part in a 4 round quiz. The format begins with a picture quiz, then Bingo at £1.00 per card. Thereafter, it's a general knowledge round that alternates every other week with a music quiz. The last game is a version of cards whose aim is to be the first to get rid of 13 cards corresponding with those called out by the quiz master. Absolutely amazing customer service, they let my partner use the ladies toilets to change our little boys nappy as I am injured and can't walk to be able to do it myself!
