Pizza Island — Restaurant in Leeds

Last update 28/3/2025 last order from here food arrived cold and the kebab was so dripping in fat or grease it was all over every meal and even the bag. Ate half of it as I was hungry now looking for another take away. What ever they have done has ruined one of the best take aways in Leeds. I ordered here 5 times a week so will be a huge loss to them. Such a shame.

4th update as 19 march 2025 Pizzas have dramatically decreased in quality to the point a thin base is none existent and a deep base was a thin base 5 weeks ago. There like bread and cheese now. No more pizza sauce at all. Called them up twice and told them I will not order again after I order 4-5 times a week and was not even bothered to even resolve it rude and didn’t care.

3rd update as march 2025. Unfortunately things are starting to change. The pizzas are not as high quality and not how they use to be. As it stands my stars review will remain for now unless more things and any more drops in quality. I have removed 1 star for the annoying text the next day to tell me my order was sent why? I’ve already eaten it yesterday.

2nd review of pizza island. 3 months later food still amazing very fresh, hot and delivered quickly with a smile. Food amazing tonight I tried the special calzone and I have to say maybe the best most tasty calzone I’ve ever eaten. My wife had her usual of chicken tikka on Nan bread with salad and chilli which is always very fresh and tasty, which she loves. Pizza island is my no 1 takeaway always hot freshly made and most of all delivered quickly and on time which is amazing. Highly recommended to anyone in the area. Absolutely by far the worst ever takeaway experience!!!! Ordered food last Friday at 5:30… for it to arrive at 7pm. Flat cold, one of the pizzas completely wrong, all the condiments missing…. The cheese chips were luke warm chips & just grated cheese placed on top….. After a lengthy phone call & being called a lier, they finally sent out just the one replacement pizza & we’re, told to warm the other food up in an oven!!!!…. The replacement pizza arrived at 8:10. Completely wrong again…..at this point I’m seriously annoyed. We called the shop received a mouthful of abuse, to be told a replacement will be sent as they finally recognised the issue. Some one cooking admitted the mistake possible???… 3rd time round at this point arrived at 9:30 luke warm, but correct this time….. at that point 90% of the food just binned. Empty belly’s & £40 lighter. Never...

Pizza Island has spoiled other takeaways for me, it always comes hot and fresh I absolutely love them!! Also the driver also comes with a treat for my dogs 😊

Update - I have changed my rating, I wish my above comment was still accurate however, Recently the food from here has not been good at all, twice now it has been cold and stale. Today i ordered a pizza that came cold and the cheese looked as tho the pizza was made hours ago, a chicken korma that was also cold and didn’t taste like chicken. Called the restaurant and he was sure it was all made fresh but I highly doubt it.

It’s a shame because this was one of the best Takeway’s around, not sure what’s happened, if they have changed the chefs/cooks it what but I won’t...
