This is a hidden gem. I had driven past a few times but was unsure what this place was exactly. However, a random conversation with my barber opened my eyes. He, being Kurdish, said this was one the best and cleanest places to eat in Leeds, and oh boy. He was not wrong. I've been back two days in a row.
The staff are friendly and patient while you try to work out what you want to eat. There are no menus, so a lot of pointing finally got me to a fantastic kebab. When I returned on my second day, I was greeted with the same warmth as the day before, but this time I wasn't shy to ask about other dishes. The lamb, beans and okra are fantastic (yes, I ordered them all). This came with Rice and nan bread AND salad, as well as keebab. I asked for enough food for two people and took it home. There was so much food, I am finishing it off for my tea. The price is really reasonable too. £30 feeds two people for...
Read moreDon’t overlook this place, it’s well worth a try. I’ve passed by a few times and the smell has always called me in. But it’s not in a great location, and the groups of Kurdish men outside can be off putting. However, don’t let it put you off. It’s run by Kurdish people so naturally Kurdish people will go here - The staff and the customers are all very welcoming and friendly. Once you get behind the fence, you kind of forget where you are. Everything’s clean, comfortable and well presented. There’s little birds in cages dotted around, all singing which adds to the atmosphere. The food is amazing in every way. The quality, the taste, the way it’s cooked - and it’s proper healthy / tasty real food. No processed rubbish. It’s amazing value for money too, like unbelievable value. You can pay by card, cash or bank transfer. Honestly, it really is a hidden gem and is not...
Read moreFirst if all, the food was soooo delicious. I tried this place several times and everytime i liked it more. Service is fast and staff are so polite and kind. Only problem is with the decoration. It needs to be more green, currently you wont like to go inside of the place unless you know the high quality of the foods. Another issue with this place is the people gathering outside, all men, drinking tea and smoking. However, they are all Kurd people and are so nice ones, it doesnt seem good to be so crowded in the outside. But with all of these, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT. especially the food called Lamb Qozi. One more thing, you need to have cash with yourself as they dont have a pos. bank transfer is...
