NO STARS ~ I have to give it one to get this posted .... We should have sensed that this was not going to be good....the place was absolutely empty on a glorious Saturday night, with such a fantastic view and what could be a very promising venue to eat in this did not bode well. Soon found out why, the food was practically inedible, we all had different items and apart from one the rest of our party (6 in all) had to leave most of our food. Chicken was overdone and dry, bacon was so incinerated it was unrecognisable as bacon, eggs were either very runny or dried up and burnt on the underside, salad garnish was old, curled up and looked really unappetising, and the reason for the discoloration was not because it was past its best but wait for it...the dressing! Asked about the gluten free options, not quite sure the message got through regarding our question "was the oil used for anything other than the chips or non gluten foods" we were assured that this was OK, last night one of our group who is highly allergic to gluten was violently ill ! Best advice to would be diners enjoy the view steer clear of the food ! This is a council run operation, so there is no consequence, the workers get paid and have no incentive to make this outlet really good and thriving. Come on Seaford Town Council get this venue up running and...
Read moreShocking. Saturday evening 8pm only 2 other customers in there. We waited 1/2 an hour to then be told we need to order food & drinks at the bar. You would of thought that the staff may have realised, that as we had previously booked a table for six, that we would be eating. They could have mentioned that fact a little earlier. If we had not have asked, we could still be sitting there now!. I was assured, by phone, when booking, that there were GF options for a coeliac. I was then assured by the staff, that as a coeliac, I could safely eat my chosen option. I wish someone had told my tummy that! I was so ill! There seriously needs to be some education around allergies. if it was in fact a GF option, there was some serious cross contamination issues going on. We should have realised that it was not the best when the chef appeared wearing disgusting trousers that looked as if the hadn't been washed in a very long time. The salad was old and inedible and all of the 6 meals that our party ordered were not good at all. When we mentioned the salad, we were just told it was the dressing. She really need to go to Specsavers. It was old brown and dried out. Yuck The setting is great but no atmosphere and very poor standard of food. Would...
Read moreOn arrival the first thing that grabs you is the bright views of countryside, sea and skies right around the cafe and lounge. There's plenty of space and choice of seating, lounge, easy chairs, bar. There's a nice friendly atmosphere with places to eat, relax, work, read or chat with friends. The place is very clean. The choice of food, quality of cooked food, service and overall dining experience is really lovely. Thankfully my visit was a sunny day so I was able to sit outside at the patio and stroll along the terrace to take in the views. There's a nice feel about the View. I will return...
