A absolute must visit it's like going back in time and by looking from to outside the martello tower looks small yet by the time you walk down the stairs it just opens up underneath the beach and road as the martello towers were originally designed as underground fortresses with a cannon on top to defend our great coastlines and country from invaders the martello towers go along the south coast and up the East coast line I have visited most of them but Seaford martello tower is my favourite just a few miles along from Newhaven fort which is another great place to visit. I don't want to spoil it for you but it is an amazing place to visit! Ps You can also sit just next to the martello tower and enjoy the view from the little tea hut with a nice cup of rosie lea ( tea) and have something to eat with the kids to. Well Recommend top Marks museum a full 5...

Seaford is a lovely little place with a very interesting museum. The curator is a great chap and very knowledgeable. There is a very large collection of all sorts of domestic appliances from radios cameras phones to washing machines. There is a lot of Seaford history to. We stayed in the Wellington Hotel which is a great place to stay and Simon and his team really look after you. Evening entertainment The Old Boot is the place on a Saturday night. Also worth mentioning is Lanes who do a great locally sourced Dog (sausage) roll. Fairly newly opened on our visit. Also The Grumpy Chef is worth a trip for their breakfast. Bookings advised as they get busy early. All cooked fresh by the not so grumpy chef. Who works very hard to keep up with demand. You can see him at work...

After almost 15 years in the area, I only just discovered this gem when meeting with friends and their four children looking for indoor wintertime entertainment. Such an amazing, vast collection of all kinds of artefacts from domestic and business life in the area across the centuries. The ‘high street’ display theme is creative and I was amazed that the simple object hunt/quiz kept all of us entertained from 5 to 45! Combined with the refreshingly low price means it is a must-see museum, I reckon. For anyone over 50 it will be a trip major down memory lane. I shall not forget the sight of young children discovering the delight of using a...

A museum of local history for Seaford and exhibits of other tools and technologies through time including TV and radio, clocks and telephones, typewriters to home computing. Some really valuable historic examples on display and also some interactive features too. Great to see to the local history of Seaford such as lost cinemas, the town through wartime and some old shop and location facias and features. Excellent value entrance price (less than a tenner for the 4 of us) and friendly staff throughout. Well worth a visit. Not a massive location but packed with information and exhibits.

What a great little museum, telling the history of Seaford, and showing a large number of artifacts which evoked childhood memories, the medicines, TVs and radios, and other household items in particular. Another point of interest is that it is set in a martello tower, there are many of these defensive forts along the Sussex and Kent coast, but I have never been in one until today. There is also an interesting video, showing the construction of the long beach front. Don't forget to go to the roof to see the cannon.
