Absolutely lovely Indian. We came here after a 15 mile hike so we were absolutely ready for some good food and this place totally delivered. The drinks were good, the food was excellent and the service was pretty good too. The decor was stylish and inviting, the music and atmosphere were friendly and welcoming, every waiter that served us was professional and helpful, and the poppadoms, starters and mains were all fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the tandoori duck starter. I've only taken off a star because it was just a touch pricey. We're pretty familiar with Indian restaurants and go to them quite often, and this one just came out a little on the expensive side I thought. That, and I had to ask more than once for some water.

On holiday from London staying at Wychnoor Country Club we chose from the room Folder the Deli Divan to order food to be delivered . The food was AWFUL THE WORST CURRY WE HAVE EVER BEEN SERVED. It was like left overs... sautéed in onions n capsicum with tomato ketchup, the so called chefs special. Further when we tried ordering online -- the response was we do not deliver. However when we called we were told that they do deliver. OUR ORDER TOTALLED £32.10 but were charged £38.ignoring the difference in price we paid as we were tired from an all day holiday outing. How disappointing. We were told by Deli Divan when we complained the usual Bull...Will let manager n chef know etc.

ASTONISHINGLY, astoundingly, fabulous food from a clearly gifted Asian/English chef. This guy could win awards. He creates his own unique sauces to accompany the starters for example. I would move to Alrewas just to eat here. But there is more! The waiting staff excell too. SO committed, so friendly and so loveable. I am in heaven in this totally unforgettable restaurant.

I'll start with the positives. It was mid week and the place wasn't full, so at least we could hear one another. The decor is improved since my last visit and is pleasant enough.

I ordered an Apna Special and Chicken Tikka Garlic. The chicken in the Apna Special was Tikka (so the chicken was cooked independently of the curry) and was very hard and dry. The sauce was very hot (temperature-wise, not spice) and the chicken was luke warm. Inconsistent heating (or more specifically, reheating) really disappointed. The chicken tikka was barely okay.

I'd recommend having the chef visit local competing businesses (unless all local competition is rubbish, in which case go visit a very successful place) to see what they do differently with their food. Taking shortcuts and using Tikka in all chicken dishes isn't a good move as it gets cooked twice... I'm not a chef but know this.

Service was okay. "Thank...

It was a few years ago but found it quite good value and the food was excellent. Just a note. There are never many cars parked in their car park, wether using the restaurant or the takeaway so why the hostility towards anyone using it? Many signs have been addled to it's surrounding border to discourage using their carpark, 'Diners Only' not very community spirited I must say. I was approached by someone quizzing me as to why I was walking over the carpark the other day.I was dropping something off to someone who had parked there for about 5 minutes. The restaurant was closed at the time and it was the only car in the whole carpark! Fortunately the car then went off as i was quizzed. Putting that aside, I wpuld like a few cars parked outside my restaurant as it would look more inviting. An empty car park, even when your open does not encourage business!...

This has to be the worst dining out experience me and my partner has ever had. We turned up as the restaurant opened, we was the first couple to sit down and the starters took 2 hours to come out while take away orders was flying out the door. Food was great but then we had to wait for our mains which was another 40 minutes? When the mains arrived, there was a black beard hair on my missus's plate and a huge long black hair in my meal, food was undercooked. It was an absolute joke. Would not recommend anyone dining here. Joke of a resteraunt. Definitely will never be returning.

There was a couple that sat next to us for their 50th anniversary and they left before we did because of the ridiculous wait times. We sent them to a different Indian restaurant that we know of so we can only hope that they had a better experience there than they did...
