Fantastic little local gem off A38 north bound. The location was easy to find and plenty of street parking. The service was fantastic and as was the coffee/hot chocolate with seating available inside in a cozy cottage style or outside on a sunny day. I would recommend anyone passing by on A38 to stop by and support a local business.

Great coffee. We found ordering simple breakfast food meant a 25-30 minute wait - which is far too long! And it was the opposite of busy, with say half a dozen customers at the time. We resorted to jokes about finding a chicken to lay the eggs, etc. And then dis-appointing bland food.

Nice pot of tea holding two cups. Cups were a little tea stained which might put some people off but didn't bother me. Quite a busy cafe. Food looked excellent but I wasn't hungry. Staff were pleasant and the tea came outside almost immediately.

I was really looking forward to trying this little village cafe, but I felt it was rather disappointing. It's nice and cosy inside and has both indoor and outdoor seating, it also has little gifts and cards to buy. The staff were fairly friendly but the food let's the whole place down. My partner had a sausage and egg sandwich, which looked like a nice large sandwich, unfortunately the sausage was cold and tasteless and the poached egg was dry, he had to cover in tomato sauce to be able to eat. I had bacon and egg, again the egg was dry and the bacon was like old shoe leather, as if it had sat on a hot plate all morning and dried out, so i also covered it in tomato sauce. We over heard another lady complaining about the lack of yolk in the poached eggs, so maybe some lessons on poaching an egg is in need. It was a disappointing visit as we travelled specifically to...

We visited due to a recommendation but were extremely disappointed. We ordered baked potatoes and had to wait just under an hour for them. The couple on the next table also waited over 45 minutes for their baked potatoes. When we inquired as to where our food was, the server stated that one always has to wait 15-20 minutes for food at this coffee shop, but this was way beyond that, and we were not told about the regular or extended wait when we ordered. In addition, we and two other sets of guests had to clear three tables of dirty dishes. No one was clearing the tables regularly. Finally we had to deal with barking dogs inside who were also having a go at each other. We will not be returning to this coffee shop. It was by far the worst one that we have...

Could..be amazing

Unfortunately this cafe looks after its regulars. It was out first time. There were 4 of us. We met at 1pm. Ordered drinks. Then food and drinks. We watched 2 other tables come in after us and be served. Then the owner said she had no scones but served the table next to us with scones. If they ordered after us why were we told to re order.. They had just come in. We waited from 1pm till 2.10pn to be served our food. We will try there again but the way we were served wasn't fair. We spent quite a lot of money. My partner ordered a mocha, the waitress spilt it all over the saucer and apologised but should really of brought out another drink. Poor service. Its a shame because it looks like it would be a very...
