Major Curry Affair Burntwood — Restaurant in Lichfield

We arrived at 7.30 (10 group) and we were seated at our pre booked table immediately. The restaurant was full otherwise. There are plenty of staff buzzing around and they are only to pleased to help but with the amount of people in the restaurant it took a while for the regular popadom order to be taken. It was then another 30min before our orders were taken and an hour before the starters arrived. This after we had to ask how long? Hence a few hungry and angry people. Smaller groups/couples coming in after us tucking into mains well before our starters reached the pass. This is my complaining over. The food is excellent, well presented, tasty and plentiful. Dishes are obviously cooked freshly and individual tastes and meal modifications catered for. You can even see the food being cooked if you want. Lovely pint of Cobra lager in the bar but you can take your own as well. If you can get over the wait? Well...

Ordered take away from Anan's and was told the wait time would be 25 minutes. Arrived at restaurant after 30 minutes and had to wait a further 10 minutes, I ordered special jalfrezi and lamb jalfrezi. When I arrived home and unpacked food the special jalfrezi was 3/4 full and the lamb jalfrezi was 1/2 full as pictured. I phoned up to enquire why I had received such a small portion and was given the absurd explanation that had I ordered a chicken dish the container would of been full as the chicken chunks would have been bigger?? Did not receive any apology or offer of replacement meal with correct portion. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you are a fan of bad service, on a radical diet and seriously lacking a sense of taste. I have only put one star as I couldn't...

With this only being the second time using the restaurant I can confidently say it’ll be the last. The food we ordered this evening when eating was enjoyable, however when stabbed in the roof of my mouth by what looks like a bone or possible broken tooth pick which I had to pull out while it bled was not a nice experience. I called the restaurant to tell them what happened and got asked to send over a picture of the object, I then got a call back and told there are no items like this in their kitchen so it can’t have come from them, and it apparently would have been noticed when the meat was being washed and prepared.
