KFC Lincoln - Nettleham Road — Restaurant in Lincoln

Truly awful experience. Used the screens to order as the member of staff behind the counter had her back to the restaurant & appeared to be busy. There were no wraps or rice boxes available so we ordered alternatives. There were no table numbers available so we couldn't select table service despite it being encouraged by the screen & the machine did not give us a receipt. Hubby waited to collect the order & could see all of the table service numbers stacked up behind the counter. I went to get a table & there was plenty of choice as there was only one occupied table. Every table/floor area had debris so I had to get some serviettes to clean off a booth table which was in direct view of another staff member stood round the corner chatting to her friend. Our food tray was pushed towards my hubby with no comment or smile etc & there was no side on it. My hubby asked for a copy of the receipt & was asked why he wanted it so he said it was to check the order as he thought a side should be included. The staff member had been joined by a colleague & they looked blankly at each other before checking their order screen & then putting a side on the tray. Hubby again asked for his receipt & the staff went to get the manageress who said that there was no way to get a duplicate. Hubby asked for the restaurant number & was rudely asked why he wanted it. He said it was to complete the survey on the app & staff said the number was on the receipt, which he then reminded them he did not have. We started to eat & the food was warm rather than hot but we were hungry so carried on. Unfortunately the drinks were also warm so I went to ask for ice & was told there wasn't any. As I didn't just move away from the counter, the staff member said that she could see if there was any at the drive through counter if I really wanted some & I said I did so she got two fresh drinks with ice. The tango was virtually flat but we just wanted something to drink by that point so just got on with the rest of our meal. If it wasn't for the fact that it was 9.30pm & we were hungry as we hadn't eaten since lunch then I would have returned the food & asked for a refund. Well today I begrudgingly took my little niece to this place since I promised to treat her for her birthday while my sister and brother in law are in the hospital. Needless to say like every other KFC I've ever been too it was very disappointing. The only other time I've been here was back in late March/early April and was shocked at how absolutely disgusting the staff behaved especially the blonde one who seemed to be the shift leader. There was a girl who was quite obviously new and for some god unknown reason was left with a massive queue of people, at the till, on a weekend night while her nasty colleagues were barking orders at her. This was a very upsetting sight especially in what is supposed to be a family restaurant. Also found it ironic the blonde one was yelling at the girl for not doing anything (even though she was also rushing back and forth keeping the place tidy) while her and the other girls stood back lurking like some secondary school bullies on the playground. But of course like most KFCs your fabulous fine dining experience(!) doesn't end there. Food was of course very substandard; chicken was soggy, chips may as well have been smart price cooked in a microwave,only good thing was the branded drinks. Isn't it so sad when McDonald's 3 Chicken Selects and the Chicken Legend run circles around their pitiful excuse of poultry dishes. It's enough to turn any crazed meat lover vegetarian. This was my first experience at this store as im not from the area. All i can say is the staff needs training in customer service. I was approached with "what you want" by a very rude young staff member called leah. The only other words she could manage to rudely mutter was "what side and drink". Whilst standing there waiting for my order to me made i noticed the shift manager was in the back scoffing his face with food obviously oblivious to the poor customer service that his staff was delivering. When my order was ready, the lovely Leah practically threw my tray at me spilling my fries all over my tray. It then took my 5min to find a table to eat at that wasnt dirty or was surrounded by food debris all over the floor. The fries were hot but burger was cold (wasnt going to complain as Leah had already made it clear she isnt the most approachable of people). Once i ate my food i went to use the toilet before leaving. When i entered the toilet a strong smell of faeces hit me. There was toilet roll thrown all over the floor with faeces on it, the floor was saturated in urine and the hand soap dispenser had been ripped off the wall and was in the sink (dirty sink i might add). I turned round and just left the building, id rather wait 50min till i got home to use the toilet. I was discusted that an establishment serving food could keep a toilet in such a state.
