Lunch at Allerton Hall Farm! 🍽️ A proper family-friendly spot with a huge menu to suit everyone! Whether you’re in the mood for a classic pub lunch, a hearty carvery, or something lighter, there’s plenty to choose from. 🥩🍔🥗 We went for lunch on this visit, but the menu has everything from burgers and fish & chips to freshly carved meats with all the trimmings. And the desserts? You have to leave room - think indulgent sundaes, cheesecakes, and chocolatey treats! 🍰🍫 With a relaxed atmosphere, a kids’ playground, and plenty of space, it’s the perfect place for a family meal. It's perfectly located next to a walking trail and kids playground to stretch your legs after! Used to come here all the time, especially pre COVID, but sad to say most likely won’t return. Last time, well over a year ago now, we had the perhaps worst carvery we’ve ever had. The potato’s, mash, and veg were all hard and greasy and was overall an unpleasant experience. So much so my grandfather complained. Originally was meant to go to the Cook house near Walton, would recommend highly to anyone, but mistimed our booking. So decided to come back to Allerton. Although the food was more edible this time, the potatoes were burnt and the gravy looked rancid. The food was cooked so dodgy I Ended up feeling majorly i’ll after a few bites and had to leave in a hurry. Was perfectly fine once I had got it out my system so my sole blame comes on the food. I give it 2* instead of one because of previous really good experiences before these two, sad to say I can’t see me returning here.

I expected better. We have just had the carvery at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. There were very few customers eating at the time and it looked like no one was eating the carvery. As I was first in our party to have the carvery I was served the very dry end slices of beef and gammon and I had to ask for it to be replaced. In the end the meat tasted better than it looked. All roast potatoes and veg seemed reheated, but Yorkshire puds were ok. It was very cold inside and despite sitting next to s radiator and being served on hot plates out food was freezing cold half way through the meal. I can imagine the experience would be much better if it's busy but no one in our group is interested in returning even though we used a 40% discount voucher. Staff were very friendly and polite and the location is very nice.

food was not great, luke warm and basic but was edible to be honest, portions was tiny for there deals in the weekdays (2 courses for £__). The deals were well thought about by the money makers of the business i guess.

I was drinking for 2 hours because i’m 28 years of age just finished work, i ordered through my own app and my own bank card, I got ID’d by a server 2 hours in, after 3 drinks… I said i have my ID on my phone but got refused… I of course asked for a refund in that case,

They said NO, that’s when my friend took the bottle and said she would have it, I said no and took the bottle back and put it by me, and said it’s mine or it’s my refund, i bought that alcohol.

she then snatched the glass from the table and said No you won’t get a refund, i’ll take it away because the bottle has been opened, you won’t get a refund.

I then went to seek further help from the higher manager, who did in-fact give me a refund and stated that the woman CALLED SARAH in question was his manager and the only way a refund can be refused is when the drink is on tap, but bottles can be refunded. He continued with my refund, I thanked him & I asked him why the server was allowed to snatch the bottle of me and treat me with awful customer service, he said she was his manager, so i left him at that, not his fault, and he looked really busy and stressed out as well.

Anyway, i have thanked Sarah on the way out for her terrible experience, I was so polite and I totally understand they can’t accept photo ID and the fact they must ID people who look underage, but to point blank snatch the drink from the table and tell me i won’t be getting a refund is absolutely diabolical. This place was recommended by the friends who took me there today, even they are in disbelief at the situation and can’t believe how i was treated. I will not be returning and I will be making a formal complaint for the way i was treated and made to feel like a problem. We all have issues going on elsewhere and we don’t need establishments to be making us feel like criminals or making us feel intimidated and in the wrong , in a situation where weve actually done nothing wrong. Also, the toilets were disgusting and needed clearing every time i visited a cubicle, also the glasses were stained and dirty. Sustaining cleanliness will help your business succeed, your establishment is far from clean and I will be telling people to avoid at every...

Do NOT hire this venue.

Our mum passed away, so we decided on Allerton Hall as the venue after Allerton crematorium. It's the worst decision we could've made.

The food was terrible. We were charged £760 for the buffet, but what we received looked like £160. There was an abundance of cheap food, like chips and onion rings, and very little to none of the more expensive foods we were promised... specifically, chicken. They cut corners on everything.

Then, the worst part. We had the 3 allotted hours in the room that we booked, and found ourselves outside in the garden as the rest of the guests left one by one. At roughly 9pm it started getting cold so we re-entered the bar, where we were told we would not be served and that we would have to leave. The place was not full at all, and we were all orderly, yet we were asked to leave. We asked why we couldn't buy drinks, to which we were given no understandable answer. We again got told to leave the premises. Then to our total shock the staff member added "or I'll call the police." !!! It was unbelievable!

That was totally uncalled for. Given that we'd just lost our mum and had chose this venue as the place where our family and friends would commiserate with one another, to then be treated this way was totally unnecessary. It was inconsiderate and inappropriate.

I really do hope that people read this review, and choose a different venue, as it's left a stain on an otherwise good day that we said goodbye to our lovely mum.

Don't allow this to happen to you. Choose...

Last time I came here was for my 40th birthday it was so bad that I swore I wouldn't return. Customer service was atrocious, food.qualoty was shocking. No.support even when brought to attention of staff Was handed an email for complaints and marched away. Fast forward nearly 2yrs later and decided to give it another go for my sons birthday. I was late to my booking and phoned ahead to let them know. Mark was very accommodating and we were sat immediately. Food was ordered and delivered quickly and staff were super friendly and helpful. Few niggle points was we ordered a ultimate coke which came way below the top of the glass, when I asked if it could be filled up I was told no as that's how it comes. It's not an ultimate coke if its not ultimately filled to the top. Second niggle point no pigs in blankets when we had ordered them. We had to wait for them to be brought to the table which they were with an apology so that was fine. We had to wait for the carver tofinish carving before we.coild.get roast potatoes and there ended up being a big queue. I ordered desserts through the app and two out of the 4 were out of stock, this was annoying as I was allowed to book them through the app. I opted for two other desserts (the mint aero cheesecake does not taste like mint). Overall it was miles better than my birthday the customer service was exceptional and couldn't be faulted. There are however some improvements to made given we faced these issues on a quiet midweek, but overall I...
