I’ll put this feed back hoping it would help this resturant to get better and get more customers and I lik to be one to go there more often. I’m being as honest as I can be. Visited first time with family. Very disappointed. Poor management. Bad atmosphere no music.quite like funeral parlour every one looking at each other so quite that u can hear everyone talking next table and they can hear u. Salad fasle is joke for £5.50 u get couple slice cucumber tomatoe and hand full of lettuce worth nothing. No sauce very dry.nothing like description olives missing dressing missing just not worth having. Menu describes 3 skewers special Alma for over £20 but very small portion an only two skewers comes on ur dish. Other Turkish resturant £20 mixed dish is full of meat salad lamb chops chicken rice annd anll sorts compared Other dishes like ghyme bademjan just fatty meat u can’t chew very hard.the Kobideh dish was only thing that was very nice. The waitress was not paying any attention to customer at all . U had to chase her to get bits u needed. So did other tables too. The table service very poor didn’t clear table of starter dishes. Starter dishes came with food although we didn’t ask for that supposed to be starter first. What was the point. so wasn’t starter. Ask for freshy made Persian bread said yes we have it ordered it but got precooked toasted bread. Inside bread still cold. Then we was brought bread with food we never asked for but was told it’s free but got charged £1.99 xtra on bill Not value for money at all. Prices different on line than when u get there. No salad Olivia traditional Persian starter.no one around front of resturant to help u or ask at ur table if u ok or u need anything u av to really try hard to get someone’s attention 5 minutes. Food took long time to be served. All other tables were the same customers sitting there not getting served food or nothing for while looking at each other in quite bad atmosphere. Overall was not good experience. Hope this resturant get better the owner to have communication with it customers instead. Of being continually in kitchen. We will try them one more time probably to see any better before we give up at this place. Hope this resturant can fix the poor management well over priced. Portions small. Atmosphere bad. Inexperienced waitress. an other issues I wish them luck. Hope they can getting...
Read moreI don't like to leave a bad review on a restaurant, least of all locally owned ones, but I can only assume that there must be a real discrepancy between different sets of staff working - because the food and service were both incredibly poor when we visited.
There was complementary soup which was a weird fatty, pulpy texture and completely devoid of flavour. Our drinks were not brought until requested once the soup arrived. From then, our starters came out in dribs and drabs but as we were not sharing, this wasn't ideal. The bread was completely stale, both tough and brittle at the same time. Our starters were not cleared, and just sat at the end of the table (despite being the only diners at this time). Our mains, also were not delivered at the same time - however the staff did apologise for this with the mains.
Every dish we had was flavourless. I rarely season my food when dining out, but I almost felt rude with the amount of salt I had to use. The persian rice had absolutely no tahdig, no taste of saffron, no buttery flavour - I'm convinced it was yellow food colouring on basmati rice.
For £90 for 4 meals, we came away feeling really cheated. Icing on the cake was being asked to pay by cash after requesting the card machine (who carries £90 on them for...
Read moreVery nice restaurant. You don't need to wait to get a table. Attentive staff ensure a lovely dinning experience by being knowledgeable and responsive to your need. You will find yourself in an enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere. Food here are Persian style dishes. I had Alma special kebab for one which had a nice and fresh smelling kobideh, jojeh kebab and chenjeh. Fresh and tender lamb, mince and chicken were treated with just enough salt. There is no Curry or other smelling spice which hides the real test of meat in this restaurant. All these kebab were sided by Persian style rice, grilled tomato and Peper for less than £20. I go here when I want to have fresh and nutrition kebab in a restaurant. You can see the chef grilling your food through a big glass window which reflects thier confidence and allows you to see how your food is prepared. I do recommend this persian restaurant without...
