What a rip off this KFC is on Walton Road! The bucket of hot wings that you get is nothing like what you see displayed. You are given the small remnants of the wings that when combined in the bucket only half fill it. Not only that, but three pieces of chicken and chips with drink cost £7.50 and you get two small pieces of chicken and what appears to a larger piece but is only the remnants of a bony piece of chicken covered in large amounts of crispy coating to make it look like you are getting lots of chicken. In the past there were often large queues of people waiting, but now it largely empty. However, go to another KFC and you are better provided for. Why such a difference? Why is this branch of KFC 'short changing' people? Were is all the chicken going? The customer is not really getting what they pay for at this KFC on Walton Road.
Just returned to the shop as requested, but I don't know why I even bothered! Ordered a 4 piece Colonel meal and was told that thd best they could offer me was two drumsticks and 2 extra portion of fries to compensate for the missing chicken unless I was prepared to wait 1/2 an hour. I don't consider two extra fries adequate compensation for two missing pieces of Chicken. After all its kentucy fried chicken nit kentucy fried chips. Consequently, I asked for all my money back. That was 20 minutes ago at 3:15 on 12th July 2024. - what a joke this place is, it should be shut down! Staff is more interested in joking and playing with each other then serving customers… There was only 1 customer who already been served and 2 just eat drivers. First they gave ready food to one of the drivers, - fair enough,then SAM-team member who served me-as the other 2 ladies went at the back, were hanging around-was chatting, joking with the other driver so eventually I’ve asked him to be served… He had no idea what I wanted to order-or maybe not to interested…I had to wait for the pict to show up at the back and showed him twice as at the first time he didn’t even bother look up there to make sure that’s what I want to order.. Then I started ordering sides and asked about the salads-and asked what is in this salad-he didn’t reply-then I’ve asked-is it the one like on the pict?-he’s answer was-I don’t know….hmmm seriously??? Was he on the training???I don’t think so -he was just not bothered.. When I’ve ordered my food I’ve asked not to have filets-I wanted chicken on the bones… Then he came I’d and said-no mash potatoes I can give you another chicken -ok… not the first time this kfc is not properly stocked..once they said-no chicken left-which is shocking as this is place where mainly you sell chickens isn’t it?? The time it would take to get from this KFC to my home in a car, excluding traffic light waiting time, would only be 2-3 minutes. I waited 3 whole hours for something I ordered at 6:45pm. It arrived at 9:30pm. What's worse is that the if you try to cancel the order via the chat bot, it won't allow you because it "may be getting prepared in the oven." Also, if you try to call the restaurant, not a single soul picks up. If you call the delivery service you chose then when you want to speak to someone, you get put on hold for ages; same goes for the chat bot when it says it will put you through to someone who can help, but you end up in a queue and you're 99th in place.
