Nest Cafe Liverpool — Restaurant in Liverpool

What a treat to find this charming little cafe restaurant right within walking distance from my Airbnb! From healthy options to hearty for both breakfast and dinner, Nest has both! My first meal here was the healthy “Shay’s Special” and two days later I came back with my business partner to have a full English breakfast and my business partner had “The Bagel” which was topped with smoked Salmon, avocado and poached egg. The staff is beautiful and kind and we had a nice chat and they recognized me when I came back on the second day. Nest has a big picture window for “people watching” while having your meal. Went here with my girlfriend for breakfast. We both ended up having diarrhoea and stomach cramps the whole day. We came around 10:30am and it was dead but picked up as we was leaving. The breakfast seemed to come out slow and it was slightly cold. Sausages was black and the portion sizes was a little on the stingy side. No difference really between the normal size and the big size. Food left on the side in the kitchen in prep tubes. No refrigeration. This is probably why we didn’t feel well. Food must be kept below 5° degrees. Left in prep/white tubes on the side isn’t below the legal temperature. Danger Zone!!! Ordered 2 sausage on toast with my partner. Very cold in the cafe, waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken. Then another 10 to be told the sausages weren't cooked asking if we wanted bacon instead. We said we'd wait for sausages, no problem.

20 minutes after that we where given bacon butties. We said we wanted sausage on toast and we waited. In the end we where told that we could have the bacon butties for free as there was a "miscommunication" with the kitchen.

Bacon was OK but waited 40 minutes for the wrong order.

It was colder in the cafe than it was outside.

Don't think I'll be going back...
