Ordered food through JustEat and asked to deliver after a while. Payment was taken but no confirmation email came through. Later when I enquired a few minutes before it was supposed to be delivered, I was told that they had not started cooking my order and it may be delayed a bit. I politely asked them to cancel it and though it was in part because they haven't yet started cooking, I told them I do not want it as I thought it would be quicker now to just grab a sandwich from nearby and since they have not started cooking it will not make any difference to them. I do not know which part Village did not understand and kept on arguing that I cannot cancel my order even though I admitted it has nothing to do with the delay but I have the right to cancel if they have not even started making my order. After a while the guy on the other end became threatening and refused to return my money. I tried persuading for a while but then I gave up and called just eat who eventually did refund my money and said Village accepted what happened and I was within my rights to ask a return. Duh !!! could have said the same thing to me. JustEat said they have no mechanism to lodge a complain against eateries. I would like to point out that this is still LEGAL tender....there is none of it missing and the serial number is completely in tact. I'm disgusted and starving and think you should get your facts straight before you go taking people's food off them. I have been isolated alone for four weeks, felt like treating myself .... Only have that twenty pound note. You driver also took my 2.30 tip, and only gave me back the twenty. I'm furious and starving. I have only just recently moved to garston, I work on hospitality and know how to treat my customers and would rather accept a damaged note which I still recognise as LEGAL than take someone's food away from them to throw in the bin. To apologise they gave us a free garlic bread (also delicious) and even wanted to give us a free big bottle of 7up! We took the pizzas and free garlic bread which were all delicious, and so well garnished that we couldn't finish!...
