Called to book a table for two, advised I have a tastecard can I use it was told yes come there's a banquet menu you have to pay cash. Arrived before ordering again told the younger waiter that I have a taste card he said thats OK. He came with the menu and said it banquet night for £11.95 each we can select from the menu 4 items starter, main, side and either bread or rice. I said can I use the the tastecard for this he said yes. Ate the food glad we didn't have to pay the full price as the portion size for the banquet menu seemed small. £14.95 for salmon tikka with 4 small pieces of salmon covered with lots of onions on a skewer. Food was average nothing to get too excited about. Asked for the bill and was being charged full price. Said I have a tastecard u need to do 2 for 1 deal. To be told banquet meal not available on tastecard. He then said he would do the charges again charging full price and then using the tastecard and it came to the same price.... so basically I paid full price for banquet portions size meal. Waiter said must have been a misunderstanding...there wasn't I was extremely clear asking him several times even whilst ordering the salmon is this on tastecard? A dishonest practice..why did we have to pay cash?..something is not being properly put through the books. Then we pay the same as the banquet price. Sorry to be the odd ball here, but I just wasn't that impressed with the food. My husband and I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant, trying something different from our normal Indian takeaway mainly because neighbours had recommended it, but we were hugely disappointed. The food wasn't really bad but just wasn't really that good either. I found it bland and hot without the spice. My husband also didn't find it that tasty and in particular felt there was more sauce then actual fish in his serving. He called to check the amount of fish that should have been in the serving and staff did confirm that his portion was a little less then what it should have been and offer compensation next time he ordered from them, which was a nice gesture but I think though its always great to try something new we will be sticking to our...

It's a nice and 'cosy' restaurant, doesn't seat too many people which in a way is good. Staff is always very friendly and pleasant. The food is relatively good but I would say that it used to be better when we initially came. I noticed that a lot of the food isn't prepared on the premises but is almost kind of ready made. We wanted certain dishes without certain ingredients and were told it wasn't possible as it was already prepared.
