Average roadside cafe. Itâs okay but I wouldnât necessarily go back. As you walk in thereâs a sign asking for cash payment which I completely missed out. Staff didnât look pleased but did say I could pay with card when I said I had no cash on me therefore was going to leave (before ordering). Thought asking for cash payments was rather odd. Coffee was very diluted which for me as a coffee lover got me started on the wrong foot, tasted of cheap instant coffee. It was more like dirty water. In my opinion itâs overpriced, probably because they serve big portions. We left probably half of our food behind. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and the al fresco dining was a delight in the sun, and even had a nice ambience and environment with the plants and flowers separating us from the busy Brighton Toad. It was clean and tables far enough apart to always feel covid safe and non intrusive It was cheap and prices reasonable therefore good value for money, the mediterranean fry up (a creative menu choice) was good quality with toast added. I also specifically requested poached eggs to be harder boiled and they achieved this with a minimum of fuss. Really nice place and they gave us free chocolate when we left! Cannot wait...
