Ordered food for a little event we had and it was delicious. The main dishes we ordered were: - Somosa Chaat - Daal Makhni - Chilli Paneer - Gulab Jamun Whenever we go out we really like the food to be like home cooked and this was it, it had that restaurant feel but also was not oily, felt fresh and was packed with a lot of flavour. The team were very professional and responded to my many questions and were patient when we were late to pick up. Will definitely be using Ashutosh for future takeaways and events.

An amazing place to eat, the atmosphere is lovely, ambient, calm and relaxing, and it also has wonderful music. The food is absolutely incredible and it really fills you up! There is such a great variety of Indian meals. Me and my family always find ourselves coming back here and it's no wonder why. Great value for money too! The staff are always open to chat and are so kind, they always cater to your needs. There are also fun events such as the music nights. 10 out of 10 would recommend dining here :)

I've been to Ashutosh twice now and enjoyed it both times. The 1st time we just ordered a chaat which is probably one of the best I've tried as I love chaat and the 2nd time I went with my husband ordered a few starters which were just as nice and tasty. I particularly enjoyed the masala mogo the most. I'd definitely go back for mains. It's a modern looking restaurant with nice interior and a family run business and the owners are very friendly.

On entering the reastaurant (8th April 2017) first impressions of the restaurant were good with clean floors and comfortable furniture however it lacked the ambience and warmth due to large empty blank walls and the Staffs were rather cold and only one waiter for the whole restaurant! I would definitely not rate this restaurant highly for good service or value for money for the following reasons. Their website does not do justice to the claims made and the service provided. They say” everything that’s best about our company – impeccable, delectable, creative and positively guaranteed to please”. Whilst the general food ordered was reasonably good in taste but lacked sense of co-ordination AND FRESHNESS. The Ragada Patties were ordered for mains but came first. The Chappatis came without butter and were stone cold although we were one of the first customers to be served after the evening opening. Whilst booking our table for 6.30pm we were told to vacate by certain time, which was not very good impression and the Manager said he was doing us a favour. Considering the table next to us was completely empty all the while we were there, he couldnt have been doing us any favour, we did him a favour by giving him business. The staff were very unfriendly. We pointed out our Patra had gone off and smelled badly. We asked this to be returned get it checked and to our surprise the Chef sent it back to us saying it was fine. We never ate it and it was also on our bill which I did not pay for it. The manger was extremely rude AND ANGRY we were rebuffed by the Owner. Who wants to pay and (eat)for rotten food? DON'T ORDER PATRA! You will regret it. Our Masala Dosa arrived so so late that we were all practically finished with our meals and it had Caulli flower in It. This looked like and old micro oven heated re-cycled Dosa! This was really bad experience taste that was not very Indian nor authentic! We pointed this out and again they did not want to agree on this either!!! Rather sad sad lot. My wife had a nut allergy and ordered a simple drink which is usually is nut free (faluda) however, when it came sprinkled with nuts on top. When we asked to have it nut free they had argued with us saying why didn't you tell us before and refused to take it back. This was the Owner/manager saying this!! Wow!! Forcing us to order another without any nuts. With that in mind the second drink we ordered had long dry uncooked bits that got stuck in my daughter's throat. Overall not a good experience. Food is very expensive, lack of attention to customer satisfaction and opinion and rather rude staff. Definitely not going there again in the near future. You better check whats in the food before you order! Be warned! NO ALLURGY WARNING, NO HOT SPICE WARNING, NO GARLIC OR ONION CONTENT WARNING ON THE MENU! This is not your friendly neighbourhood restaurant with an angry and rude Manger. The waitress is clueless of the North Indian style of cooking or content. This is definately NOT "impeccable, delectable, creative and positively guaranteed to please". Lucky to get a single star from us. Finally. Being a religious and a strict vegetarian I pointed out at the beginning to the Manager in a friendly way that the name of Ashutosh is the name of Lord Shiva, one of the most revered Gods of the Hindu tradition and it would be offensive to have people clean their dirty hands and mouth with His name on the serviette. Our spiritual understanding is that the name of Ashutosh (God) is non different from Lord Shiva (Holy name). As exemplified by Hanuman the monkey servant of Lord Rama by writing the name of Lord Rama on the stones to make them float in order to cross the vast ocean. Would you put the name of Jesus or Mohammed on a serviette for everyone to wipe their filthy hands!!!!...

STAY AWAY.

Frankly speaking stay away. I have been here twice with the same experience carried through out both visits.

A member of our party had but nut allergy and ordered a simple drink which is usually is nut free (faluda) however, when it came it was dashed with nuts on top. When we asked to have it nut free they had argued with us saying why didn't you tell us before and refused to take it back. Did I forget to mention this was the manager saying this!!! Forcing us to order another without any nuts. With that in mind the second drink we ordered had uncooked bits that got stuck in my sister's throat.

Another dish was clearly not fresh and out of date, there was a clear pong smell to the dish (pathra). When we mentioned this AGAIN they refused to do anything and brought the dish back on our table. Claiming it was fine and nothing is wrong.

To add to this main course dishes were brought as starters! Even though we specifically asked for these dishes to come out later. How hard is to bring a dish out for the main?! This happened on both occasions we went.

Main course was also a screw up. Dishes came out at different times meaning some of us finished before my mum's main dish even came! In fact we ordered a certain number of a accompaniments (rotlis/chapattis) 3 portions. Instead 2 came out. We asked for the other and was told she was still making them! And they didnt cone out till asked for AGAIN. Very unprofessional.

To add to this Main course horror story, another dish (masala dosa) usually made with potatos was thrown in with all the seasonal english veg! The tastes were atrocious - not Indian at all. When we asked about it they once again took it to the chef, brought it back out to ask us where there was a califour is in the dish. We showed it, and picked out a chunk and the waiter denied the presence of it. As if to tell us we don't know what the vegetable doesn't look like.

There is no clear indication on the menu of the heat of any of the dishes and this came at the expense of our mouths. Our mouths were burning and it was totally an unpleasant experience.

Upon paying the bill, the manager said he was doing us a favour for even serving us! The restaurant was empty! We booked the table in advance it wasn't like we had dropped in and the place was packed and we begging to eat. After explaining how we did not want to pay for rotten food he rudely said goodbye and pointed to the door. Totally disrespectable.

Overall, no customer obsession. Not worth it. The argumentative nature of the staff is beyond unreasonable.

If I could I wouldn't even give this place a...

Was dining at the restaurant last night and was next the table of the  reviewer @hardik thakkar and @Mehta family

This is one family made my dining experience hell, they were telling their kids to play in the middle of the restaurant and kept making noise and jumping around, making it very stressful for other dinners as well as the staff treating the restaurant like playground.

The food is top quality and you can tell everything is fresh plus super tasty. We never sent the food back and this is totally  fabricated lies by this uncivilised family with uncontrollable kids. Infact that family ate everything on their plates and took anything left as take away and on top of this insulting the food and staff. If you don't like the food, why eat it all plus takeaway ? Clearly this was their first outing out as their behaviour was disgusting.

A question was asked why they wanted a glass when actually leaving the restaurant and after paying the bill ..  people are not mind readers. You simply have to say can I have a glass for some water please.

Once they left the other dinners were incredibly happy. The restaurant was too upmarket for these type of people and should have never been there. The people sitting next to us left the restaurant saying they would prefer a peaceful place.

The owners of the restaurant were very tolerant and accommodating to this uncivilized people with uncontrollable children who made other customer diner experience a hell.

5 stars have been awarded for the hygiene rating and for great food with service and great tolerance to such people like we had to...
