Manager Abhay (if that’s his real name) is the rudest aggressive manager I’ve ever come across in my life. He has a disgusting attitude and literally screamed at us when we came to dine (06/04/19).
After placing an order and wanting a swap for asparagus for red onion (which we have done on SEVERAL occasions with the other manager) the waiter refused 3 times and didn’t think it would be clever to ask for a manager to put the request forward. We tried to explain time and time again that only the day before yesterday the restaurant accepted our swap, but perhaps the waiter thought we were lying, he didn’t wish to confirm with manager.
The manager Abhay then steps in only to ESCALATE the situation rather than pacify it. We explain to him and he buts in when my brother in law speaks and screams I’M TALKING TO HER!! (To my sister). At which point we said you cannot be speaking to customers like that. He then persisted to say my brother in law was ‘harsh’ to them because he ‘rolled his sleeves up’? And because he interrupted? I think this Abhay thinks he’s a Greek God where nobody can speak whilst he’s talking. God forbid you try to speak to him. Approachability and common sense points = Nil.
He continues to shout at us for the next 5-7 minutes whilst we refused be screamed at. He did not listen for one second because his ego clearly wouldn’t allow it. He’s huffing and puffing at our table and sighing, maybe he thinks he’s the big bad wolf? He does a little 360 spin whilst he sighs angrily at us. “This policy has been in place for a year” he claims and we finish off with “we dined here the day before yesterday...”. I’ve never ever encountered a manager shout, exaggeratedly sigh and roll their eyes at us ever before in my life...especially not over RED ONION?!
Avoid this place at all costs, nobody needs a small insecure arrogant man screaming at them who refuses to listen and has zero manners whatsoever. Advise to the restaurant, teach this man some manners because he’s badly destroying your reputation.
A real shame because the other manager actually has great customer service skills and manners but Abhay thinks he’s a Bollywood hero. I was waiting for an item number with all the exaggerated...
Read moreMyself and several of my friends visited this restaurant for dinner on Saturday 30th of August 2014. From the moment we walked in the door, we did not feel welcome.(we should have actually left) The staff did not welcome us and we were asked to sit at a table which we were not happy with. We asked if we could move tables and this was bluntly declined. To start off we ordered drinks and when the drinks came they were just thrown down on the table. The waitress did not even smile. In fact she looked so miserable almost as though she hated her job and really didn't want to be there. When it came to ordering food the order was taken by the waiter and he also looked miserable. I ordered Lasagne and garlic bread with cheese for my main course. When the Lasagne arrived i was shocked to see how it was presented. It was all liquid instead of a firm consistency. Its did not taste all that good and was rather salty. Also far too much cheese and no pasta or meat. A lot of tomato sauce. I would not have given this to a dog to eat. The garlic bread with cheese was rather stale. My friend also had Lasagne and she was also disappointed with it. When we ordered the food we asked for a jug of water and four glasses. They did not seem too happy about having to give us glasses. (Did they expect us to drink from the jug?) They brought the glasses but did not bring the water. I had to ask three times for our jug of water. This to me is unacceptable. Also nobody came to ask us how our meal was? We expected someone would come and ask but they didn't. This place is not exactly cheap and they expect you to pay service charge on top of the bill. We decided not to pay any service charge because we did not feel that we received any kind of service from them. The impression i got was that when people come to eat, they just want to get you seated, serve you crap to eat, take your money and then kick you out. I am very disappointed with this restaurant and would certainly not be going there again. My friends were far to nice to complain and i held back so as not to spoil our evening further. I really felt like asking to see the manager and i should have done. Very poor food and absolutely no service. Karim North...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Blue Zenzer, and I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was nothing short of amazing, especially the pastas — I have never tasted anything quite like it before! The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and each bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked, with the right balance of textures, and the sauces were absolutely divine. It truly felt like a gastronomic adventure, and I can't wait to return to try more of their innovative dishes.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was also noteworthy. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy design. The lighting, music, and overall setting created a very relaxed and comfortable dining experience. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a quiet meal or even celebrate a special occasion — the mood was just perfect.
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were highly professional and attentive throughout the evening. In particular, I want to mention Rahul, who was simply outstanding. He was not only kind and polite but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Rahul took the time to carefully explain the dishes and offered excellent recommendations based on our preferences. His attention to detail and genuine care for our dining experience made a significant difference and added a personal touch to the evening.
Overall, I highly recommend Blue Zenzer to anyone looking for exceptional food, a fantastic atmosphere, and top-tier service. The experience was memorable, and I am already looking forward to...
