Unless you like slow service and cold food-AVOID! After hearing several recommendations for this place we decided to give it a go. We went at lunch time, and it seemed busy. We were seated quickly, made our order and drinks came promptly. Started off great but it was downhill from there. After 25 minutes the food had still not arrived and most diners had left. We asked where the food was, our hot drinks have gone cold by now and the ice has melted in the cold drinks. We asked again, they said the food is coming, 10 minutes later my not very eggy menemen arrived without the bread. My husbands full English had cold beans and turkey rashers and the rest was luke warm. 5 minutes later 2 x American garden meals come out, again with cold turkey and cold beans luke warm the rest of it. No maple syrup. Finally my sons burger and chips came out and was nothing to rave about. We had to go and ask about our food at least 4 times. There was no apology that the food had taken ridiculously long, or was cold, or that it didn't all arrive at the same time. We were so cross and disappointed. We spent a similar amount in Anatolia on Leyton High Road and wished we had gone there again, where the food arrives promptly, hot and with a smile. As we walked out, not a single member of staff thanked us for our custom and didn't even look up or acknowledge us. Do not go here!!

We visited earlier today for brunch after reading the review by Halal Food Guy. Like others, we experienced the same with moody staff, they looked like they didn’t want to be there, wearing the same apron dinner ladies in schools wear..lol.. It was really difficult to have a conversation over the loud hip hop music at 11am..! It’s definitely not family friendly. We asked them to turn it down on 2 occasions, our request was ignored. The food took about 40mins to come, as you can see in the picture it was just a couple of eggs, no idea why it took so long, because the place was practically empty. We wanted to get up and leave, but sadly the food turned up for our son just as we were about to get up. We normally order our coffee at the end to wash the meal down with, but in the end decided to go elsewhere a bit more decent for coffee where the customer service is better and the environment is also family friendly. In short, and without sounding too dramatic, don’t waste your time here, thank me later. Response to Coffee Garden: The menemen was bland but the other dish was satisfactory. I suggest you train your staff in hospitality and improve the customer service. You have received 2 negative reviews from 2 customers who were present on the same day, I saw the gentleman present who reviewed you shortly before me, this tells you something..

Coffee Gardens is a hidden gem in the heart of Leytonstone. My wife and I recently visited this charming cafe for breakfast and we were completely blown away by the experience. I ordered the full English breakfast and let me tell you, it was the best I have ever had. The quality of the ingredients, the taste, and the presentation were all top-notch. Every bite was a delight and I savored every moment of my meal. My wife, who is a vegetarian, opted for the vegetarian breakfast and she was equally impressed. The dish was beautifully prepared and had a perfect balance of flavors. It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into creating these dishes. I also have to give a special mention to our waiter, who provided excellent customer service throughout our meal. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He even recommended some delicious drinks that complimented our meals perfectly. Overall, our experience at Coffee Gardens was nothing short of amazing. The food, the service, and the ambiance all exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast experience. We will definitely be returning soon.

Updated review: I have now visited a further 4 times since and only once was I pleased with my food ans experience. The customer service can be extremely poor most of the time - unprofessional and slow. Its unfortunate that many of my family and friends feel the same.

On one occasion our order came so so late, then half the items meant to be in the Turkish breakfast were missing. I definitely do not recommend the Turkish breakfast. The waiter kept saying he was so so.sorry and kept apologising, he even said 'I think I'm gna cry, don't worry ill sort out your bill, im not going to charge you'. Whilst I did feel sorry for him, it's just not very professional go tell a customer you feel like crying because things are going wrong. He kept assuring us he.would take care of our bill. When we went to pay at the desk we were waiting for an extra drink we had ordered long ago and still not received. Guess what, he took that off the bill ...that was his way of 'sorting us out' for the numerous mistakes made with our experience.

I've learnt from my trips here, that I'd stick to the lunch type dishes rather than breakfast, they're slow and just not worth it. Always seems to be something wrong when I order breakfast.

Previous review: Loved it!! This will be my regular spot from now on...had a hazelnut latte, orange juice, a a Medetteranian breakfast and baklava. Cannot fault the food decor...

If I could give 0 I would! Few weeks ago, I came to get takeaway food, and latte around 11:30am. they were a bit busy but we had to wait one hour. ! If the lady at the till would have told us about the long wait time I wouldn’t bother. I had to go out and come back again to get the food! Then she didn’t even apologise to me for the long wait time!

I wrote to them on Instagram and was told it would be “investigated”. I didn’t hear nothing for a few days. Then I asked if they have a response and was told to wait as they have a “meeting at 7pm on a Sunday”. Still no response. They then deleted their messages on Instagram and blocked me. !! If you want rude customer service and very long wait times with average tasting food and milky flavourless latte, then this is the place for you.

Edit: writing after seeing owner response below. I think you need to go on some anger management course and self reflection because you have made some very false statements. I’m entitled to my review and opinion and treatment. I didn’t send any threats, I notified you of the problem which you admitted to but then lied. If you gave the food on time then why would I complain or write the review? And some of the good restaurants apologise to customers or offer a good will gesture to keep their customers. Which you didn’t! Your response has just showed everyone how unprofessional and...
