Leyton Library — Attraction in London

Way too much noise!!! And too hot in the summer.. No point in reporting noise, staff take no notice. Maybe they can't hear me. Worst library in London by a long country mile!!! Hand drier in toilets not working for at least four weeks. Can't dry hands after using toilet. I have e mailed council about it. Bet they do nothing also. Avoid this library at all costs!!! There is more. I visited this library a few months after my review and was told I could not wear my own mask in the library. I had to wear a mask provided by the library. The assistant produced a mask from the drawer using her bare hands. God knows where the mask had been ( or her hands) for all I know somebody may have worn that mask before me. Absolutely disgusting!! The local Health Authorities should visit this...

I came to this library for the first time today. This place is a mistake. I have no idea who agreed to organize classes for children 0-2, bearing in mind that there is only one space for everyone. They do not have special rooms to separate noisy activities from the spaces where people want to read or study. There is loud music playing and the noise of a large group of children in the background. No respect for people who want to use the library for its intended purpose. Horribly loud most days. I have been to this library to make use of the (extremely limited) study space. However, it is not uncommon for parents to bring their children in for a shouting match and a good run around. I even witnessed a mother put on a Disney film at full volume on the iPad for her child. Absolutely bizarre behaviour. I trust her child will develop excellent reading skills.

As mentioned by other reviewers, the staff are timid and have no intention of asking these people to be quiet.
