Wetherspoons in general are very good at what they do. Some great and interesting locations across the country. Cheap alcohol and good food. The Collier Row branch is quite narrow and has limited seating. I've always found the place to be very busy, but pleasant. With no issues.
My last visit however was below par compared to their usual level of service. I ordered a mixed grill with the JD honey glaze. What appeared after quite a wait was over cooked pieces of steak. There was no lamb or sausage as described in the menu. No communication from any member of staff in regards to this. Then when I went to the bar to ask after the glaze which had been ordered and paid for. I then had to wait another 5 or so minutes for it to come to the table.

Read moreI visited this Wetherspoons with my assistant dog, a trained mini dachshund who assists me with anxiety, visual impairment, epilepsy, and severe asthma. Despite being legally allowed to accompany me, I was asked to leave by a staff member named Hannah, who stated that dogs weren’t allowed. When we complained after 50 minutes were were told it would be another 10~15 but it was much longer. Upon requesting an update we were told that we would be hopefully soon but basically tough as they had been busy earlier. When the meal finally arrived we we told they has run out of food. So we were missing onion rings, only 1 meal had sauce in the burger and they were burnt to nearly black. It wasn't worth complaining as it was now late and it would have fallen on deaf ears who didn't care. So we left. I hope it wa a one off experience at Colley Rowe but it didn't look like...
