Costa Coffee — Restaurant in London

To all the vegetarians please be aware. I went here one evening and bought a cheese and tomato toastie, the lady who served me took the cooked toastie out of the machine and used a yellow knife and the yellow board to cut the toastie when she should have used the green knife and green board for vegetarian food because the yellow board is used for cooked meat and fish. I asked her straight away why she did that and she ignored me. She was also so grumpy working with an “I can’t be bothered attitude”. Then I asked her again and the response she gave was unbelievable. She said “we have changed the knife system now, we use the yellow knife to cut the vegetarian food now, we always do that now” I was shocked as I know that is a pure lie. Because next to the yellow board was the green board and knife so what is that used for? I did send a formal complaint to Costa so they take urgent action. Due to allergies and religious reasons this is a serious issue. When you go in next please make sure they are using the right things. God knows what they will do...

I go to this cafe almost every day, I'm a mother of twins and I go out to get a coffee every time I take the kids out. I spend around 10 pounds more or less every time I go. Today I asked for a cinnamon latte. I got a cinnamon-flavored water. I went back and specified that coffee was not ok and asked for a regular latte instead of a cinamon flavored.The lady there offered me a bad look saying that she cant give me that cause i paid for a small coffee, I told her what I was meant to say it was a normal latte. She made me feel so bad from the begging of her service she always offer the minimal service never Smile she makes me feel bad for paying to have a coffee,in this economy spending every day for coffee and other treats customers should be valued but not in this place. One of the most convenient Costa Coffee shops I have been to. Usually your typical coffee shop is a high street staple, right in the line of other store fronts (sometimes with a few tables on the pavement) without any parking. Well, very rarely parking is available. Not in this Costa though. Situated conveniently close to Dagenham East underground station and boasting a decent size car park for about 20+ cars there is plenty of parking spaces, free of charge. No more rushing to cramped meters or squeezing into tiny residential streets just so you can get a cup of decent coffee.

Covid safety measures are in place, good wifi, mains available to plug your phone/laptop charger, plenty of room inside, plus a drive through, in case you are in a rush.

Coffee and baked goods are of the usual Coffee standard, so no surprises here....
