Ordered poppadoms, thin and crispy. Ordered nachos, the cheese on the nachos was plentiful. The fish ordered with chips was terrible. The hamburger with cheese was nice. My lamb jalfrezi was delicious, as was my wife's special vegetarian curry. We ordered sago aloo, which caught us by surprise, hot hot. The peshwari naan was OK, but not the especially with sesami seed all over. The birthday cake drizzled with chocolate sauce was a nice touch. Service was superb.

We had ordered paneer tikka masala and received chicken tikka masala. We are fully vegetarian and have never eaten meat in our lives however ate meat because of this mistake. I will never go back to this restaurant again and I wouldn’t recommend vegetarians to go here. A Mistake like this is unforgivable as it has hurt our sentiments and is not really acceptable.

The curries (fish and lamb) were both incredibly tasty, and so were the tandoori prawns! The naans were fresh but we preferred the chilli one to the garlic (which seemed to me would have benefited from some butter). I haven't given 5 stars due to the samosas (not bad, but average), otherwise we very much enjoyed dinner there and would come back.

My family recently held a triple 40th birthday party at the Crown of Mitcham (for under 50 people). The management team worked closely with us to ensure that the party was a success. They made sound suggestions for the menu and timing/running order of courses. We opted for the party buffet which included 4 starters, 4 mains & sundries. Not only were we offered their private function room (which was set up nicely for us upon arrival, including tablecloth on tables & hand sanitizer laid out throughout the room), but also part of their outdoor area which was cordoned off for us (an added bonus for the kids to freely use). They organised self service unlimited (selected) soft drinks/juice (at a very reasonable additional price), providing jugs on the main entrance table and refilling when necessary. The staff were very accommodating with the schedule, as we were running behind, but always happily followed our instructions. The guests couldn’t stop commenting about how delicious the food was. I would have to agree. This is a hidden gem in Mitcham, and will be my go to place for any future parties or a nice meal out with the family. Excellent service and...

We recently hosted a party of 20 at The Crown of Mitcham and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Sunny and his team were amazing. From the very beginning he helped us with the planning, recommended dishes, and on the day made sure every request from our guests was taken care of. Super friendly, attentive and always one step ahead, they really went above and beyond. We felt right at home and had such a great time.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is spot on, and the food is excellent – a great mix of Indian and Chinese dishes with something for everyone. Everything we tried was top quality. We enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes, including crispy potato bhajias, salt and pepper tofu, dal makhani, paneer and chicken tikkas – all perfectly cooked and beautifully spiced.

Whether it’s for a big party, family dinner, lunch or just drinks with friends, this place ticks all the boxes. Highly recommend and we’ll...

its a shames as this was a regular go to for us. Pub vibe and good food and friendly staff, ticked all the boxes until my wife and Mother in Law who are vegetarians asked for vegetarian samosas but served lamb samosas and ate them. luckily my Mrs. spotted the texture did not seem right but i couldn't say the same for my MIL and she ate the whole samosa before realising it was meat and not the veggie option.

This place is decent for food and drinks but with this mistake this has spoilt the dining experience for us here. I would urge you to check the food being served if you have ordered along with a meat option to as this could costly to your reputation.

YES - It is a simple mistake to make for staff but you need to also understand the detrimental effect it has for someone who does not consume meat or ever has eaten meat their whole life based on their...
